That's why I do studies

I don't know if the right eye is really lower in the painting.... The eyebrows are at the same hight, and you can't see the actual eye... So I don't know what makes you think that. @Deleted User @Deleted User

I honestly think it looks great

2018-05-29 11:05:44 UTC

If anything so... The mouth might be a bit iffy

2018-05-29 11:06:11 UTC

yeah that's what I was thinking

2018-05-29 11:06:23 UTC

Following the brow's shadow shape

2018-05-29 11:06:41 UTC

I don't see that in the painting though....

2018-05-29 11:06:41 UTC

If the head was tilted, that would look fine

2018-05-29 11:06:56 UTC

You only see the shadow and it looks fine

2018-05-29 11:07:46 UTC

Still don't see the issue

2018-05-29 11:07:55 UTC

Give me a second

2018-05-29 11:08:08 UTC

The eye looks like it's still above the red line

2018-05-29 11:08:47 UTC

Yeah exectly

2018-05-29 11:08:54 UTC

So where's the problem?

2018-05-29 11:08:57 UTC

Look at the line

2018-05-29 11:09:01 UTC

the horizontal I drew

2018-05-29 11:09:14 UTC

The eyes aren't level, but hte head is straight

2018-05-29 11:09:20 UTC

yeah it's noticable

2018-05-29 11:09:23 UTC

need to be up and left

2018-05-29 11:09:42 UTC

if you attempt to imagine the proper sketch, without shadow, it just looks weird

2018-05-29 11:09:51 UTC

But what you drew seems to fit with the original drawing

2018-05-29 11:10:11 UTC

look at the eyes in relation to the horizontal

2018-05-29 11:10:14 UTC

they aren't aligned

2018-05-29 11:10:26 UTC

it's really nitpicky stuff but when you train to see them then they pop up, and usually it's just an aggregation of these little mistakes that push a piece towards greatness

2018-05-29 11:11:00 UTC

If you say so. I still don't see it

2018-05-29 11:13:49 UTC

I think you can make a case that the entire head is tilted and lower his canvas left ear slightly and change some shadow shapes

2018-05-29 11:14:55 UTC

That might actually work better

2018-05-29 11:15:07 UTC

Ok yeah I see it now

https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/372507611284766722/450980403226869771/unknown.png

2018-05-29 11:16:26 UTC

it was probably hard to see because it can make sense too if the canvas-left ear and jaw are lowered and the forehead shadow (and others) would reflect the tilt

2018-05-29 11:20:19 UTC

I should probably buy an easel

2018-05-29 11:20:35 UTC

Right now I'm just using an Atlas for support lol

2018-05-29 11:27:49 UTC

Isn't it easier to just use a table?

2018-05-29 11:28:07 UTC

Like a normal person?

2018-05-29 11:31:51 UTC

I'm too tall

2018-05-29 11:32:14 UTC

All my tables force me to hunch over in order to draw

2018-05-29 11:32:25 UTC

And it hurts

2018-05-29 11:32:53 UTC

Get a bigger table

2018-05-29 11:33:07 UTC

Don't have space......*sobs*
