idk if it's even been published yet
yes
I do actually, but I also know if you're able to achieve seal without compromising passenger loading/offloads, you're effectively golden
it's primary issue is maintenance
You still have to pump all the air out
me_irl
yes, if you have to attend the interior of the tube
Which is unrealistic and expensive
and then you have to pump it all out after
a lot of designers are advocating for compartment seals in the case of train emergencies, but again, that's a real complication as well
Even if it was built
It's going to be far more expensive to ride than a subway
if it's built, it's going to need a whole new approach to safety
Which we don't have
we do
we'll see I guess
I guess
but hermetic seals in a tube? yes, we can do that
The real issue is that it would cost too much
I know it's crazy, but people thought the ATP or TGV were nuts when they were conceived in the EU
bullet train isn't so silly when you traverse half of japan in under 2 hours lol
A bullet train costs nowhere as much as the Hyperlop will
think you'd find the carriages would work out cheaper
the infrastructure would be the expensive aspect

I still agree it's an expensive project, but it's entirely feasible
No material on Earth is strong enough to make a hyperloop tube, several million cubic feet of vacuum is impossible under earths atmosphere
but they're already making them? 🤔
Not to mention the fact that one crack will cause the entire Network to implode
we're not talking carbon nanotube level here
and they can still achieve impressive speeds without going full bore crazy
well within tolerances of even HY 80 steel or titanium forging in high speed sections
you want to build a space elevator? Sure,. Bakeon is right atm
you want to build a hyperloop? nah, not so right
cracks are an issue, admitted
easier to deal with though
especially with a fibrous outer layer pressurised within the outer shell
the biggest issues with these systems are energy/maintenance, that's my point I guess 😦
carbon nanotubes?
