Surely there has to be a difference between fascism and totalitarianism. Totalitarianism when benevolent can be an incredibly useful in the case of pinochet and dreadful under the likes of cannibalistic ungo bongos.
Singapore as well
Fascism on the other hand it seems to me has never really gone to well.
@Fitzydog aye
Benevolent dictatorship is about as efficient as it comes.
Facism and totalitarianism is hand in hand. Facism itself is like a middle step between democratic capitalism and co?munism and that was the point of it
I think the difference between fascism and communism can be described as who power is divested in
Facism was basically socialism light
**Tandred#8768** was cleansed from the server.
But if you ignore hitler most facist nations were really not bad, nor as horrible an outcome as socialism itself
Communism hits a wall, because it purports to have shared ownership of everything, while fascism has the government owning everything
Anyone know of any pre ww1 fascist authors at least? Something not tainted with the tragedies of the world wars to have a gander at the subject?
No
Facism wasnt really a thing pree ww1
You probably won't find it labeled as 'fascism'
preww1 it was monarchies
That filled the role of facism
Simmilar but different
Hmm. Will probably have a bit of a research sesh tomorrow and come back if anyone's interested.
ah
the worst countries
Aye, will do
far to many default to hitler, but he was only quasi facist
You could argue that 18th century Canada was 'fascist' in a way
@LumpyAcidFish whenever someone brings up colonialism I always say, hey thank your lucky stars the brits did most of the leg work and not the Spanish.
idk your comparing apples to apples
Howdya mean
it was monarchist
what was the difference between british and spanish colonization
Spain had tons of colonization
and dutch
they both commited the same atrocities
I would say the spanish might have done more
The Hudson Bay co and the NW co were state run monopolies. If you lived in Canada, you worked for "the Company" and bought your goods from "the company"
Well no different that East India Company lol
spanish empire didnt live long enough to do more
True, but small differences
spanish empire destroyed 2 cuvilizations
yeah and the british didnt?
