I don't actually discuss communism much with non leftists
Or even other leftists
because fulcrum says you're reasonable
Then can you catch me up on Capitalism’s contradictions?
*when you're not talking politics*
@Puma I dunno if I can do those justice for you as they are primarily economic processes , and I'm not the most literate in Marxist theory
i have a lot of guns, and i don't like communists
But stuff like the falling rate of profit, the contradiction between wages and profit, the unsustainable nature of the system requiring potentially infinite growth are a few worth mentioning
Well, I can’t really make an argument either. I am either galaxy brained enough, or naive enough, to think that Capitalism is more of a status quo built on after centuries of human social interaction and trading
@Jek Porkins sup my husky italian bruddah
how's that *f o o d* ?
What I can't understand about commies (Other than the lack of morality in the ideology) is the fixation with Marx, even though most of what he said was completely the opposite of what actually happened with capitalism
That thought mainly is a result of there not being a “The Capitalist Manifesto by Marl Karx”
@Deleted User with my surplus of wealth that i have gathered under wonderful capitalism, i have been eating eggs, spinach, bacon, and cheese for the last two weeks and i've already started losing weight
@Jek Porkins Hell yeah, sticking with that Keto diet
ya ya
@Fitzydog we aren't really fixated on him, we are as "fixated" on him as are Austrians on Hayek , admittedly Marxism is badly named because most Marxist theory was produced long after marx died
Capitalism is an emergent phenomenon from natural human interactions
Capitalism just sorta exists
Hell Marxism as a field was co founded with Engels , who almost no one outside of communists knows about
Nobody *really* knows why
Engels is a reason why you should never trust germany
@Jek Porkins you get a trucker discount or anything?
I think Ayn Rand had her finger on the pulse there.
selfish altruism or whatever
Capitalism is the result historical processes and material dialectics , correlating with class struggle
it isn't though
if you leave a closed system alone, it eventually defaults to capitalism
Its a result of scarcity *existing*
everything always goes back to capitalism in the end
"Capitalism" is literally as old as human trade
by just existing people innovate and do things
Capitalism, in its current form, is very recent
Well, that's a poor explanation for capitalism because feudalism is also predicated on scarcity , as was previous economic systems,
and those were enforced by ruling classes
"scarcity" is also kind of a weird thing, that doesn't even exist (yet)
a peasant was ALWAYS a peasant
and so on
there was no vertical movement
Fuedalism is moreso power than anything else
