I've been thinking about this recently, how it seems like internet anonymity might have reached the peak of the proverbial bell curve, and now people really want to see a face next to the name of the person - especially when it allows for greater flexibility in content

How so? I always figured that anonymity would make it so you can be like Jim and more or less say whatever without repercussions outside the net

That has been the appeal of it, yes

Now we have peeps like Sargs and Dank whom have had their identity known for ages and have still pretty much said whatever they want, and have also managed to talk about things beyond le internet drama, cringe culture, shootings, and other gutter content
