2018-09-20 23:34:15 UTC

2018-09-20 23:34:22 UTC

My grandparents are at 57

2018-09-20 23:34:27 UTC

Many of the great films are almost thwarted by the Russian government. The most famous (and possibly best) Russian film was probably Andrei Tarkovsky's "Stalker" (based on the same series as those video games). It depicted the Soviet government as created a materialistic world without hope or even any material goods. Needless to say, Tarkvosky got exiled not long after.

2018-09-20 23:35:13 UTC

ow the edge

2018-09-20 23:35:27 UTC

@starrfoxx123 so... you defeat your own argument. Its down to the society and culture of the couple

2018-09-20 23:35:35 UTC

I probably won't get married simply because it seems like a pointless ritual and wouldn't in any way impact my love for my SO

2018-09-20 23:35:42 UTC

if the couple truly love eachother it can last

2018-09-20 23:35:51 UTC

Marriage isn't inherently bad, it just demands the kind of character that is uncommon these days.

2018-09-20 23:36:03 UTC

People shouldn't get married until they're like 40

2018-09-20 23:36:11 UTC

love is not what keeps a marriage together and it should not be the sole purpose of marriage

2018-09-20 23:36:17 UTC

I'd say 30

2018-09-20 23:36:28 UTC

dont leave it to 40

2018-09-20 23:36:36 UTC

There's no fucking way you found your soulmate after like 3 years on the market c'mon people

2018-09-20 23:36:36 UTC

Do you people want a bunch of retarded kids running around

2018-09-20 23:36:36 UTC

marriage used to be about kids until women changed it to make it about themselves

2018-09-20 23:36:39 UTC

Best to distinguish between love and infatuation/lust.

2018-09-20 23:36:47 UTC

Women should not have kids that old

2018-09-20 23:36:56 UTC

I was just adding in formation for @M4Gunner that some people make it last more than 20 years I said nothing about things not lasting years 20 @Dwarforn

2018-09-20 23:37:06 UTC

Marriages are an excuse for women to do woman things like micromanage their appearance

2018-09-20 23:37:11 UTC

it might be a part of the rise in autism we are seeing

2018-09-20 23:37:17 UTC

My opinion is out on getting married, because why would I allow the state to get involved in my life more than necessary?

2018-09-20 23:37:22 UTC

women that can't stand being married because of their husband maybe should've more carefully picked their partner

2018-09-20 23:37:29 UTC

@Fitzydog yea that too

2018-09-20 23:37:43 UTC

people can make a relationship last for ages if they know damn well what they doing and actually make them work

2018-09-20 23:37:47 UTC

Erm, can I say one more thing about the whole Russian film thing?

2018-09-20 23:37:47 UTC

@Werlf so never ?

2018-09-20 23:37:54 UTC

studies show that right-wing marriages usually last longer on average

2018-09-20 23:37:54 UTC

yeah

2018-09-20 23:38:12 UTC

Yeah that doesn’t surprises me at all that right wing relationships last longer

2018-09-20 23:38:23 UTC

I think being married actually contributes to unhappiness in the relationship because you're basically conceding that you'll be stuck with the same person forever (supposedly) and it highlights their character flaws that much more

2018-09-20 23:38:42 UTC

@radeon the point of marriage is to work together to try and smooth out the rough edges

2018-09-20 23:38:51 UTC

its working with each other to fix those flaws

2018-09-20 23:38:55 UTC

not the point but a byproduct

2018-09-20 23:38:56 UTC

Yeah, your "problem" is actually a feature

2018-09-20 23:38:56 UTC

And whites marry at a high rate, your point? @Dwarforn

2018-09-20 23:38:57 UTC

Something I'm conflicted about is the matter of excellently-crafted Russian films that exalt not necessarily the Communist government but do depict the Russian soldier fighting to protect his country in WW2 movies in a positive light.
