he wanted the powers that be to go all out and make the people that did do nothing wrong feel like they are blamed for it and then they will be slowly radicalised against until all hell brake loose.
the truth is that internet is important as it makes people able to vent out, if you shut their ability to vent off the pressure builds up until all hell brakes loose.
In cases like that I stop them, and firmly tell them to listen. Then I say, "Never apologize if you've done nothing wrong. That's important." Then I walk away.
