The actual debate is long over, this is my fun time.
No, I countered them, AND called you a moron.
It is possible to do both.
Doing one does not erase the other.
Oh, not today, no.
@Deleted User I think you have a point saying that the right will "water down" if they keep chasing the center. They shouldn't do it. The problem with your analysis is that it doesn't take into account the polarization of society and just how far left the left has gone. They've trapped themselves in a vicious ideological cycle from which they cannot escape. Even the average "centrist atheist" will find their (lack of) values reprehensible
I realised that there was no point in doing so, but before I realised that I did bother.
they've overplayed their hand with AOC and others like her
@Deleted User I mentioned the multitude of surveys done before the reputable Pew and others started putting out contrary information.
(Just as people were getting worried. <:Thoughts:408715607555702784> )
Lol
Well, no need for me to say anything then.
@Largezo112 Just remember, Pew is seldom wrong.
Yes, I bet they care more about the constitution than stoning gays.
THE HORROR
Yeah, no.
Gen Z has plenty of shit that doesn't line up with Biden.
lol
@Largezo112 See? We have Tom to tell us who can rely on!
Pew even predicted the results of the 2016 election after it happened.
the 2016 election was supposed to be Hillary's because of demographics. That didn't happen. Now one can interpret the results in two ways: 1. It was the last bitter cry for help from the boomers who'll soon be dead or 2. The start of a new political era in which people if not become at least will vote more conservatively. Why do i think that is the case? Because during the past 10 years our situation and future prospects have deteriorated all across the western world. Europe was ran over by migrants, there have been dozens of terrorist attacks, a prolonged economic crisis and the loss of jobs to China and other asian countries. Authorities in western europe have grown more and more totalitarian. The middle east is a powder keg as always and the rise of China means that the far-east will become one as well. The media tells the average guy to shut up and accept the irrevocable loss of his culture, faith, traditions and habits as the new normal while arguing freedom of speech only for themselves. Because we clearly live in uncertain and troubled times people will vote for 1. strong leader 2. change. Obama, Merkel, Macron and other leftists have only perpetrated the status quo. In short, people have seen what has happened and correctly deduced that their political elite is the main culprit of that and want to vote them out. Is that a good argument?
the elections are much more nuanced that "muh demographics"
but that's the American way of looking at it, every ethnic group is their own little tribe who only further their own interests and cannot co-operate
By that logic Catholics and Protestants would never vote for the same president?
why did that happen?
because the alternative was even worse
so in short, people in general are able to look beyond their immediate surroundings and think about the future
By your logic i would vote for "center-right cucks" every time because i have affluent background
I don't get why you think that after this cycle, most people, the majority of voters, are going to become more conservative? My impression is the opposite is true. @Largezo112
i just tried to explain why above @Fully Buckminstered
``Obama, Merkel, Macron and other leftists have only perpetrated the status quo. In short, people have seen what has happened and correctly deduced that their political elite is the main culprit of that and want to vote them out. Is that a good argument?`` Respectfully, I agree with this I just disagree with your conclusion. Historically we drift to the left, like a force of nature. And I personally believe that the majority of voters will simply double down, accepting the version of reality fed them by academics, politicians, and journalists. In the US, the bunk narrative surrounding Trump is so pervasive, and its main function has been to justify in people's minds the need for "change," in the form of more extreme left politics. Everything was balanced on a knife edge in 2016. Yes people are tired of the status quo, but the liberal establishment has done its job too well. Just my $0.02. We'll see.
