He has chosen the "hottest" lady of each party and he's gonna masturbate to each one using 2 official photos. 😂
at least the guy has standarts
i doubt that the white working class would easily vote either
Biden served during Obama administration when their communities were gutted and Sanders is an unapologetic socialist
maybe if the turnout is low they have a chance
keep in mind that Trump is the only president in 25 years who would even talk about the situation
so i highly doubt that they would go back to voting status quo after experimenting something different for four years
Isn't Tom the doomsayer who was previously convinced that Blumph would totes mcgoats be impeached?
Makes sense he'd be the one to say "Uh oh! Blumph has no Chance against Sandy Socialist or Bad Touch Biden!".
Neither have a chance. The other candidates are too attractive to most liberal voters.
The far-left city hall in Spain's 3rd biggest metro area (3 times smaller than Barcelona, 4 times smaller than Madrid) only allowed them to use the beautiful but rather-uncomfortable Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. VOX still managed to get a crowd this big.
Valencia is Spain's 3rd biggest metro area (1,8 million) and the city hall is far-left.
I'm excited for the elections, I can't wait until Sunday.
https://twitter.com/jeremycorbyn/status/1121743478772391937 Corbyn fails to mention that they were fighting for Communism and Spain would have fallen to the Soviets.
Also, they failed, they lost.
The guy in the middle is Santiago Abascal, Vox' leader.
POOR GUYS - 2 old men have died when going to vote, 1 in the south and 1 in the north, both casted their vote BEFORE dying.
First real results from 🇪🇸 will start dropping at around 22:30 local time (16:30ET). @Largezo112 @Oliver Starley
ok
The first results will start being published in like 15 minutes but, yeah, it won't be until 22:30 when we'll have more definite stuff.
Spain uses the rather interesting "D'Hondt's law" to decide the seats.
as do we 😃
Do you know how it actually works? The math involved is almost hilarious.
D'Hondt's law uses a partition system:
A = 5000 votes, their numbers are 5000/2500/1666/1250
B = 4000 votes, their numbers are 4000/2000/1333/1000
C = 3000 votes, their numbers are 3000/1500/1000/750
D = 2000 votes, their numbers are 2000/1000/666/500
i know how it works but cannot describe it in english
Their numbers (whole, half, third, fourth, etc) are what actually decide who gets seats
so you get a number, first number is all of the votes of your party, second half etc.etc. That number decides whether or not you go in
For example, if an area gives FOUR seats, the results would look like this:
Seat #1 = A (because 5000)
Seat #2 = B (because 4000)
Seat #3 = C (because 3000)
Seat #4 = A again (because 2500)
which means that if a party gets a lot of votes but its candidates' don't they will still be chosen
it favors larger parties
If an area gives SEVEN seats, the results would look like this:
Seat #1 = A (because 5000)
Seat #2 = B (because 4000)
Seat #3 = C (because 3000)
Seat #4 = A again (because 2500)
Seat #5 = D (because 2000)
Seat #6 = B (because 2000)
Seat #7 = A again (because 1666)
is that good or bad?
i don't really know
otoh it keeps fringe parties out but perpetuates status quo
I think it tries to block stupid parties from getting a seat, which is not a bad idea.
i think we could experiment with alternative vote. If my #1 candidate doesn't get in my vote goes to #2
Would you really want a bunch of local morons to gain a seat in the nation's parliament?
not really
but it keeps large parties in because they are large
