@Szayel's Pooppion My mother was largely absent for the latter part of my childhood. She worked out of state, and worked a lot. I was raised mostly by my dad, and he tried his best (and still does) but wasn't perfect. I acted terribly irresponsibly for several years lol.

Hm at the same time sounds better to be raised by a dad more than a mom

I don't think about the past too much. For the most part it has no bearing on the future, and even if it does it won't change anything. What's happened has happened.

But it's unchangeable. What has happened is done forever. I just don't worry about it. I'll deal with what comes as it comes.

I know it is, it's just hard to deal with when it does come back to haunt you

but that's why in a situation like that it feels worse, bc you know it's unchangeable

So for the most part, I agree about the past. But on the same token I learned that some things that happen may have lasting consequences that follow you, so coping with that can be different

I don't know your situation, and I can't speak on it, but I take solace knowing that everything I've done was done by me. Everything that's bad, while it sucks, is at least no one's fault but my own. I have no one to blame but myself for what happens, good or bad, and that's comforting, if that makes any sense.
