Pacino, De Niro, and Pesci are back together.
Oh nice
sounds like he still has it
Yeah, I really enjoyed Silence, which was his most recent film. Came out in 2016.
There's also a Bob Dylan documentary coming out directed by him.
I don't think.i saw silence
It's like three hours long but really doesn't seem like it.
Jonas Hill made the minimum he was allowed to make to be in the wolf of Wall Street.
Or so he claimed
Just to be in a scroseae movie
I hope vudu has a bundle sale on all of his movies in UHD one day
Yeah, that would be great.
So apparently "white male privilege" is meant for race issues only...
White male privilege, which is a stupid thing to say to begin with cause it's made up, doesn't even apply to prison sentences. Stupid for anyone to bring it up when women get off with a slap on the wrist or nothing consistently
I always thought that 'white male privilege' was just a made up term to try and explain affirmative action?
Otherwise everyone sees it as reverse sexism/racism a lot more easily and quickly
In part it is, people think companies would rather hire white men than hire whoever is best for their profits. Though it's often also used to just say that 'you don't have to worry about getting mugged/raped/arrested etc' like they do, it's impossible for you to understand how hard it is being them!'
Such arguments treat individuals as groups, not taking into account everyone's life has been different, and often aim to minimise anything a person of that sex or race experiences
Hello!
@Rockstar The white privlage here is that you get a slightly better sentance than a black man. The male privlage is that your sentance is, by default, 63% harsher than what a woman would get for the same crime. Plus the doubled chance of arrest and prosecution. Women also have nicer prisons.
Yeah it's infuriating when you get the 'equality' rant when some of those examples are huge inequalities.
But imo the supreme court does want to rule against affirmative action, we just aren't quite there yet in that zeitgeist for it to be carried by the country.
I did hear there are some positive TitleIX verdicts lately though
Obviously not enough though, since there keeps being more. Honestly the way colleges use title ix as justification to hold their own 'trials' and expel people on a preponderance of evidence standard is infuruliating. It needs to be repealed
Hello @Baptist07
Welcome to the discord
Good Afternoon, I actually came here from the Unicorn Riot Leaks site. I am not here to dox anyone, I actually come as a Conservative Republican interested in seeing why Men’s Rights group are being discriminated against.
That's fine, I know about that. Personally I think the logs there should show we are not a hate group of any kind
I think one of the primary reasons people are against us that we stand against the feminist narrative, and being against feminism to feminists and some other people means we must be misogynists
We have also been linked to far right ideologies, yet there are people from all over the political spectrum who are concerned about the issues we bring up, who are part of this movement
Please feel free to browse or take part wherever you wish
Idd gotta say I've not seen anyone in here spout any nonsense about far right 'talking points', it's purely a smoke screen to try to attack the people belonging to the group before they make valid points on paternity leave, male circumcision, prison sentencing inequalities etc. But I suppose as any group grows it needs to stay true to it's roots and try to avoid those voices.
Originally if I remember correctly MRAs were largely Democrats but with the current democrats largely indifferent to supporting MR issues we're seeing many consider themselves 'conservative' with a small 'c'.
Tbh regardless of your political views the issues don't change very much when it comes to MR, we seem to have quite a few colored, conservative, gay and/or liberal people who are starting to realise that shouting MRAs down and calling MRAs 'nazis' doesn't give you a strong argument - it just makes them look like bigots.
Hi all
