Imagine if all scholarships were only for worthwhile degreez

2018-06-01 04:42:26 UTC

Especially govt funding

2018-06-01 04:42:27 UTC

Ikr imagine how much funding there would be

2018-06-01 04:42:56 UTC

More like imagine how few people would be getting assistance for degrees ;P

2018-06-01 04:43:05 UTC

WHICH WOULD BE FINE

2018-06-01 04:43:17 UTC

If I were a leader I would make non practical education illegal because it is a net drain on the economy

2018-06-01 04:43:21 UTC

Yeah imagine if we privatized student loans

2018-06-01 04:43:26 UTC

Would be real nice

2018-06-01 04:43:35 UTC

College prices would drop

2018-06-01 04:43:40 UTC

We have private student loans?

2018-06-01 04:44:00 UTC

I mean the government not giving loans to people getting degrees who will never be able to pay them back

2018-06-01 04:44:01 UTC

you could always get a loan from a bank tbh. maybe at worse rates but still

2018-06-01 04:44:10 UTC

They're way worse than govt student loans. Interest rate on govt loans is really generous

2018-06-01 04:44:12 UTC

Like as in no federal loans

2018-06-01 04:44:14 UTC

Right but it's so easy to get government assistance for people who couldn't get private loans

2018-06-01 04:44:18 UTC

^

2018-06-01 04:44:25 UTC

And like, it shouldn't be easy to go to college

2018-06-01 04:44:32 UTC

Close to half of Americans go to college now, right??

2018-06-01 04:44:33 UTC

That's dumb

2018-06-01 04:44:37 UTC

College itself is a big dumb meme

2018-06-01 04:44:38 UTC

europe does college right tbh

2018-06-01 04:44:38 UTC

Yeah. No private company will give a loan for some bs degree

2018-06-01 04:44:54 UTC

Hard disagree

2018-06-01 04:44:59 UTC

Now the thing is, most good paying jobs need a degree, even a dumb one.

2018-06-01 04:45:29 UTC

Like my liberal arts school (I'm in Comp Sci and it's pretty legit) is like 'you can get any job with any degree!!!' and I'm like 'lol nope'

2018-06-01 04:45:34 UTC

I like how you can get loan forgiveness for being a teacher in the US

2018-06-01 04:45:48 UTC

Imagine being a high school teacher

2018-06-01 04:45:51 UTC

And teachers bitch about low wages

2018-06-01 04:46:33 UTC

I had a friend who wanted to be a teacher. The dude was massively jacked up on how virtuous he felt about it

2018-06-01 04:46:47 UTC

Yeah it’s fucking cringe

2018-06-01 04:46:51 UTC

He taught black kids inner city at first

2018-06-01 04:46:53 UTC

my teacher got mad at me because i was talking about the teacher strikes and she interrupted so i just called them bums

2018-06-01 04:47:01 UTC

To be fair, the system does kind of suck for teachers; they're screwed with wages and debt and stuff. But it's like, it's not actually that hard to be a teacher. I had some seriously stupid people who were teachers.

2018-06-01 04:47:02 UTC

Lmao

2018-06-01 04:47:03 UTC

my classrooom had a speaker that said "STEM should include liberal arts." I was the one of very few to disagree. I'm postgrad

2018-06-01 04:47:06 UTC

fuck teachers tbh

2018-06-01 04:47:09 UTC

get a real job

2018-06-01 04:47:15 UTC

Teachers are fucking dumbasses and deserve no respect

2018-06-01 04:47:22 UTC

I was mostly homeschooled, thank God

2018-06-01 04:47:38 UTC

Wow imagine paying for a history degree

2018-06-01 04:47:39 UTC

Being a low skill indoctrination cog isnt virtuous
