You do know that he was quoting someone else, right? I mean, he said "quote"
Maybe avoid the obvious spin in the future
By modern logic quoting is not an excuse
Lmao unless you do it ofc
He could've replaced nigg*r with "n word"
Easily
Okay, or, he could have not voted against desegregation
^
Oh btw
Or made the remark about his kids growing up in a racial jungle with super predators
Maybe then id let the N word slide
If society dictates what's acceptable
Slavery wss completely fine when it was popular!
Hahaha triggered
I'm literally going off your own logic
All you're doing is deflecting & throwing ad homs
Congrats. You can't argue for shit apparently.
You don't even need me here
I'm out
Flee
Adios, smooth brain lefties
Maybe I just have a life
But ok
I dont have a life, i just try not to argue with handicapped ppl
. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.
You dropped this.
Ight fr
✌
Hysterics always end like that.
And some are good people..
He was reading from a court transcript in an official hearing.... Generally when dealing with those matter, even today, the quote needs to be exact.
But of course that video is from 1985.....
Biden has some very stupid shit. He has said some things, even recently, that seem to be ignorant of the lack of how those comments might be perceived as insensitive to race issues.
But to use this particular issue is just kinda pathetic.... And just show bias against him and not what he said
I think he was making the point that today it doesn’t even matter if you’re quoting someone else. The claim is made that you said something and they run with it.
Everyone understands that quoting someone does not equate to making the statement yourself.
Well... yes I do know that... But I am not so sure the poster does or perhaps didnt care that it was a bit disingenuous to suggest that Biden used the N word twice in once sentence when Biden was quoting another person while conducting a hearing in the Senate.
The thing I don't care for is how easily it came out of his mouth, not once but twice. Even if I am quoting someone I would have an issue using racist words. Knowing that it wasn't my opinion nor my original words, the fact that I am saying it would cause me to pause and think if I could use a placeholder for it instead
Well... that is getting awful subject. Someone mentioned earlier that Trump recently said "the blacks" and yeah it does sound kinda bad, but I dont think its something that we should focus on or even use it against him.
Racism is ugly and ignorant and we need to concentrate on intent in these situations. If a person says something that is truly offensive to some but that person had no bad intent then all we should suggest to that person is that they become more sensitive to those issues.
And everyone, including myself, has been guilty of doing something insensitive to others not because we intended to, but because it just slips under our radar.
Im gay. And it really bugs me a person sees something that do not like or view in a negative light and they say "That's gay." I totally realize that people are trying to be intentionally hurtful and I would never make a big stink of it... But if you think about it, it is derogatory. If a person describe things you do not like as "gay" then logic suggests that person does not like gays.
just some food for thought
But think about it if a person can quote something that has racist or derogatory words or meanings and doesn't even have a second thought about it then it begs to question if they are ok with those words coming from their own mouth... It's generally fine and I understand because you are quoting another individual. So I'm not upset about it, maybe annoyed because to a person who was brought up in a military family where everyone is green. I don't see those distinctions in people. I judge them based on their character or lack of character, not their appearance.
I get what you are saying. I did not see it that way at all. Which is all I am saying, its subjective. Biden has enjoyed popularity in the Black community for 30 years or more. So, I will leave it up to people in that community to decide for themselves.
I do absolutely think that whoever posted that video is taking a cheap jab. Its a quote. Anyone that bothered to listen to it would hear him immediately preface it with "QUOTE"....
But... that fact that it didn't bother me is kinda irrelevant. If it bothered someone from that community then they are certainly justified in feeling that way. But to me he was illustrating the bad character of the person who actually said it.
I thought he was using that to demonstrate the ridiculous connections the left will make when it suits them.
i.e. Trump’s use of the word “fight” in his speech which has been interpreted literally despite its obvious context.
