Now that is open carrying.

If sec 230 were repealed, wouldn’t Discord, for example, simply be considered a “platform”?

Are you guys really this optimistic or are you being facetious?

Not at all. I’m just not feeling optimistic.

It was institutionalized fraud at the very least.

The issue is that our country holds two very different point of views. It’s reached a point where there is little, if any, commonalities.

Destiny 2 on Xbox

At this point, I want independent accounting firms to either be in charge of the counting or to be tasked with automatic post-election audits where they have to opine on the process. I don’t trust average people, especially those in the government, with such important issues.

You would think random, well-meaning people would be a deterrent to fraud, but based on the various witness testimonies I heard from Michigan alone, that doesn’t seem to be the case. Many people aren’t properly trained and don’t understand the systems they’re using, let alone deal with issues that arise during high stress situations, such as Election Day. Couple that with a serious imbalance of political affiliation of the poll workers and you have a situation ripe for foul play.

Vote early and vote often.

As often as needed. It helps if mail-ins can be received after Election Day. Easy peezy

It is when the processes aren’t constitutional.

When the executive branches and the courts circumvent the legislatures to alter their rules, I consider that unconstitutional.

It didn’t happen only in PA; PA was just the most egregious example. In GA, for example, the governor reached that settlement agreement with the Democrats.

Are you saying it was within the scope of the authority delegated to him, or are you saying they specifically agreed to the settlement?

That’s the exact same issue except a Republican governor did it.

404 Not Found. Yup, those are the procedures.

I guess they’re just leftists, not anarchists.

Republicans better obstruct everything. Every single thing. They better filibuster everything.

Good point.

They have full control of the government now. God help us.

Guys, none of that matters anymore.

There’s no such thing as fraud, just tactics.

There are no rules.

There are just actions.

There is no fraud. There are only tactics now.

Lol

I’m more intelligent than that. I don’t just go nuts.

None of this shit would fly for a publicly traded company. A bunch of sworn affidavits from whistleblowers and the SEC and FBI would know what porn the CEO’s son likes to watch.

Any of these “audits” that have been conducted are jokes. Public companies would get disclaimers of opinion

Are we in disagreement?

Full forensic audits by independent parties should have been conducted in each contested state.

Does credibility even matter if no allegation is treated seriously? When the SCOTUS passed on the PA case I figured we we’re screwed. If the pass a textbook easy case, then there’s no way in hell they’ll take a fraud case.

No sworn affidavits were taken seriously. None were investigated. Everything was flippantly dismissed.

Yes.

Pre-election case

I’ll have to watch that.

I hope they contest every single swing state tomorrow

They got nothing left to lose at this point.

If they do that, shit will really hit the fan.

No, he didn’t. But they don’t care. They can censor whatever they want and make it seem like he did.

No. It’s not his fault they entered the Capitol Building

That obviously doesn’t mean to break into the Capitol and it’s unreasonable to blame him for that.

Oh common. That rhetoric is used for every protest.

Left or right.

I find it peculiar they were allowed into the building.

We can’t even protest without it being used against us by the media. So now the electoral votes are still being counted but with little focus.

If they protest and destroy businesses, assault people, or even execute an innocent Trump supporter in the street, the movement is “mostly peaceful”. When a few people out of thousands break into the Capitol and one of them is killed by police, all Trump supporters are terrorists and Trump must be removed.

And the politicians’ and media’s response after they protest is “we heard you and we’re going to make changes”. When we protest it’s “we will not be intimidated, we will not cower”.

Should have labeled them as a PA absentee ballot. They would have been received before you sent them.

They did, up until they broke into the Capitol. That enabled the media to avoid covering the vote objections.

I don’t follow.

Ohh, gotcha.

It’s very tragic. Extremely.

I get where you’re coming from. I’ve had to play defense all day today about this. I’m fed up with all this shit. I’m extremely angry that we’re demonized whether we storm the Capitol or not. But damn it did this hurt us. We have zero room for error. And the objections will be completely ignored now. Like they mattered, but still.

Too soon?

3 died from “medical emergencies”? 3 people had heart attacks?

They were delayed for a few hours and then were able to continue with less fanfare. If anything they facilitated the process.

There was a harm and that is the woman who died. I’m not saying what they did wasn’t wrong, but I think “interfering” with a Constitutional process is a bit much.

The process wasn’t altered, it was simply delayed. They didn’t influence the process or outcome

I’m not saying my argument would hold up in court, but in reality they didn’t interfere.

They technically “interfered” but they didn’t really interfere is my point. They delayed the process but the process wasn’t impacted materially.

And with how little regard they have for constitutional processes or rules, I’m less bothered by this “interference”

It still different than robbery, no?

Biden is still going to be certified, isn’t he? From my perspective, it seems like the process wasn’t really “interfered” with too much. What they did was wrong, but nothing changes in the end. As usual.

With everything going on in our country right now, Congress spends their time removing gendered terms from their vocabulary. You tell me.

You bite your tongue. Cruz is the best politician in DC.

I’m against what they did mainly because it’s illegal and can be used against Republicans (and because I don’t want police nor protestors hurt). My personal feelings on what happened though? They’re different.

Big tech’s ban on Trump and others coupled with the threat to Parler is starting to really worry me.

And they’re really pushing for impeachment? Are they really trying to start something?

I may joke around but I’m a professional whose career depends on never being arrested which is a big reason I don’t take part in protests.

I hope so.

It’s the message.

And that message both bothers me and scares me.

These past few days remind me of two episodes of Electric Dreams. “Kill All Others” and “Safe and Sound”. I highly recommend watching them. (Amazon Prime)

No, the message is we choose what violence is acceptable and which is not.

Which is much different than violence being unacceptable.

They’re saying “Violence against you is ok. Even the threat of violence against us is not.”

I would argue that the media and big tech have incited the violence.

If anything violent happens at this point, it’s 100% on them

He obviously didn’t want anything like this to happen since it hurts his cause. The counting and objections stopped and resumed later with no coverage. He wanted a large group of people there to show the support that’s behind the objections.

A large gathering of public support adds weight to the arguments.

He told them to reduce security? That’s the first I’ve heard of this.

I hope he declassifies something that unleashes a real shitstorm.

I’ll take that. I was hoping something very damaging to Democrat leadership. I would include GOP leadership too if that wouldn’t take all the focus away from the Dems, which is exactly what would happen.

I think the mayor did that to increase the odds things would get out of control.

I didn’t listen to the “trial by combat” speech for context but I don’t quite get it. “Trial by combat” is a one-on-one trial that only involves affected parties. How could that be used to support mass violence?

Parler is great. Freedom isn’t for everyone, apparently.

If they aren’t applied equally, then they aren’t TOS.

If it were a “right-wing” platform, then it would censor left-wing accounts. Just because there aren’t many (any?) left-wing accounts due to personal choice, doesn’t mean it’s “right-wing”.

I would argue that they don’t. If only one side has to play by the “rules” , then the other side commits the rule breakage without recourse so they continue to do it.

Is it possible that it’s a misconception that they break the rules more often because you only see the rules being applied to them?

‘Most’ things on Parler? I’ve been on there enough and I haven’t noticed anything “wrong” from a rational basis, at least.

The only thing on there they would be banned on Twitter are opinions that leftists disagree with.

I’ve seen calls for violence on Twitter, but it’s apparently treated differently.

I have a big problem with the term “misinformation”. That problem is what we call “subjectivity”.

I disagree. I generally see it from the left. Maybe that’s because they’re allowed to do it.

I’ve seen calls to hang/execute Trump on Twitter.

I’ve seen it in artistic expression!
