me thinks there is no enforced segregation at all. seems to be more of a choice than real or authentic. just like democrat vrs republican regions. just like the vote i dont see that big of a disparity of views.

2021-01-14 22:20:42 UTC

Dunno where this idea came from that they aren't.

2021-01-14 22:20:43 UTC

@Eden yeah but you said regular checkups for medical and dental are available to anyone. How many poor paycheck to paycheck people have money left over for a full price doctors visit let alone if they actually need a procedure or medication?

2021-01-14 22:20:56 UTC

Oh yes, it's just a choice to be poor.

2021-01-14 22:21:22 UTC

just as much as it is a choice to be homeless

2021-01-14 22:21:29 UTC

... lol

2021-01-14 22:22:06 UTC

Everyone goes to ER when its actually needed, and [i copy pasted]

A person with medicaid can go to ER for free anytime anywhere in the country. A person with insurance, is likely going to end up with 5k bill

2021-01-14 22:22:50 UTC

You're missing the point.

2021-01-14 22:22:58 UTC

yea i can stand by that view stop lowering the bar and we all could be better off...

2021-01-14 22:23:04 UTC

Not getting cancer is better than getting cancer and needing it removed.

2021-01-14 22:23:43 UTC

And finding cancer before it progresses stages is better than waiting until you're dying of cancer.

2021-01-14 22:23:45 UTC

your primary care doctor is not going to catch your cancer, except a very small percentage of it

2021-01-14 22:24:23 UTC

I’m not talking about the ER I am talking about preventive Health/ screenings dental. Things that lower total health care through peoples lives both on the tax payers and the people getting care. @Eden you said anyone had access to this type of health care.

2021-01-14 22:24:46 UTC

if a person who has symptoms of anything doesnt have insurance, they go to ER and get full diagnostics. A person with insurance goes to their primary care doctor and gets nothing

2021-01-14 22:25:05 UTC

You're missing the point of preventative care.

2021-01-14 22:25:12 UTC

no I'm not

2021-01-14 22:25:12 UTC

yea this topic just changed for me i am out for a bit. my 4yr old got cancer and it literally destroyed my family.

2021-01-14 22:25:23 UTC

@Eden they do regular screenings for cancer for people of a certain age, refer you to specialists if need be

2021-01-14 22:25:41 UTC

and.... there are nationwide government sponsored clinics that any person with medicaid can go any time

2021-01-14 22:25:51 UTC

Male, older than 50? Finger in the booty time.

2021-01-14 22:26:11 UTC

the screening is a question of "do you have symptoms", if so... go to ER

2021-01-14 22:26:19 UTC

Same reason I get pissed when people bitch about going broke from covid. You should have positioned yourselves better. This ain't no welfare state, slackers. Do better.

2021-01-14 22:26:37 UTC

That was a peculiar comment to walk in on 👀😂

2021-01-14 22:26:41 UTC

"Stop being homeless lol"

2021-01-14 22:26:44 UTC

not a reliable test for anything, cancer does not get detected that way. You will faster know of a large prostate if you cant pee or have to pee all the time

2021-01-14 22:26:53 UTC

@Eden you still have to see a specialist

2021-01-14 22:27:36 UTC

if you cant pee, you go to ER

2021-01-14 22:27:37 UTC

Regular checkups curb the risk for long term health issues like diabetes and heart disease which is one of America’s biggest issues @Eden

2021-01-14 22:28:03 UTC

diabetes screening is available at pharmacies

2021-01-14 22:28:12 UTC

I get tons of things found early because I can see my doctor frequently.

2021-01-14 22:28:17 UTC

and get various tests.

2021-01-14 22:28:22 UTC

So idk about you.

2021-01-14 22:28:25 UTC

But yeah.

2021-01-14 22:28:36 UTC

Canucks

2021-01-14 22:28:42 UTC

"tons of things".... hmmm

2021-01-14 22:28:51 UTC

You seem to be equating anecdotes with like... statistics, which is not the best option.

2021-01-14 22:29:18 UTC

Yes, at least 10 things have been found early because I see my doctor frequently every few months.

2021-01-14 22:29:29 UTC

Things... you know, poor people wouldn't be able to afford.

2021-01-14 22:29:29 UTC

Yes but people who don’t see a doctor regularly don’t think about doing a self screening. If this was the case we wouldn’t have diabetes and heart disease be one of the biggest issues in h country . Out of sight out of mind @Eden

2021-01-14 22:29:43 UTC

I have a different approach to medicine, specifically because I have seen how the system works, and know the ins and outs of behind the scenes

2021-01-14 22:30:06 UTC

We need doc again.
