Where do poor people have access to regular check ups and preventative health. @Eden
and btw, I AM for universal healthcare... absolutely. I think eveyone deserves equal access to healthcare and equal bill for healthcare. Thats not the case right now.
Middle class is footing up the bill, and they CANT go to ER
Anecdotes are not a good way to discredit statistics...
I can tell you that #1 thing that is important in healthcare, is access to ER. A person with medicaid can go to ER for free anytime anywhere in the country. A person with insurance, is likely going to end up with 5k bill
me thinks there is no enforced segregation at all. seems to be more of a choice than real or authentic. just like democrat vrs republican regions. just like the vote i dont see that big of a disparity of views.
Dunno where this idea came from that they aren't.
@Eden yeah but you said regular checkups for medical and dental are available to anyone. How many poor paycheck to paycheck people have money left over for a full price doctors visit let alone if they actually need a procedure or medication?
Oh yes, it's just a choice to be poor.
just as much as it is a choice to be homeless
... lol
Everyone goes to ER when its actually needed, and [i copy pasted]

You're missing the point.
yea i can stand by that view stop lowering the bar and we all could be better off...
Not getting cancer is better than getting cancer and needing it removed.
And finding cancer before it progresses stages is better than waiting until you're dying of cancer.
your primary care doctor is not going to catch your cancer, except a very small percentage of it
I’m not talking about the ER I am talking about preventive Health/ screenings dental. Things that lower total health care through peoples lives both on the tax payers and the people getting care. @Eden you said anyone had access to this type of health care.
if a person who has symptoms of anything doesnt have insurance, they go to ER and get full diagnostics. A person with insurance goes to their primary care doctor and gets nothing
You're missing the point of preventative care.
no I'm not
yea this topic just changed for me i am out for a bit. my 4yr old got cancer and it literally destroyed my family.
@Eden they do regular screenings for cancer for people of a certain age, refer you to specialists if need be
and.... there are nationwide government sponsored clinics that any person with medicaid can go any time
Male, older than 50? Finger in the booty time.
the screening is a question of "do you have symptoms", if so... go to ER
Same reason I get pissed when people bitch about going broke from covid. You should have positioned yourselves better. This ain't no welfare state, slackers. Do better.
That was a peculiar comment to walk in on 👀😂
"Stop being homeless lol"
not a reliable test for anything, cancer does not get detected that way. You will faster know of a large prostate if you cant pee or have to pee all the time
if you cant pee, you go to ER
Regular checkups curb the risk for long term health issues like diabetes and heart disease which is one of America’s biggest issues @Eden
diabetes screening is available at pharmacies
I get tons of things found early because I can see my doctor frequently.
and get various tests.
So idk about you.
But yeah.
