Probably composed between about 70-150 AD from earlier writings and tradition possibly kept from the time of Abraham , it is of Jewish origin and is usually considered to be part of the Apocalyptic literature

Joseph Smith is relevant becuz Joseph Smith invented the claims that some *Egyptian* writings *(which are dated later than Abraham's time, & were not identified as being written by Abraham mind u)* are the *Book of Abraham;* it's a hypothesis that was never accepted outside the Mormon church *(& a few small spheres of occult influencers),* & it's been historically-linguistically debunked

I've researched into the etymological analysis of those writings myself

*(I'm well adversed in history & language)*
