hi

2020-09-03 15:49:56 UTC

on the latest poll, i chose 'stay the same' because it seems that as ppl get older or more 'liberally educated' ..they get stupider and can't decide the vote properly...most of them are stoned or drunk or both between current age and higher ages anyway

2020-09-03 15:53:55 UTC

The reason it was lowered to 18 was because 18-year-olds didn't like being drafted for wars and being unable to choose a President who wouldn't start those wars in the first place.

2020-09-03 15:54:10 UTC

so.. you get "stupider" as you age?

2020-09-03 15:54:29 UTC

no, as u get more 'educated' by the liberal education system

2020-09-03 15:54:34 UTC

But if 18-year-olds are too stupid to be trusted with alcohol (or cigarettes since 2019). . .

2020-09-03 15:54:34 UTC

and msm

2020-09-03 15:54:48 UTC

Which is a good point. I think generally speaking, people should be smarter before voting. A lot of idiots who vote now who have no clue what they are voting for.

2020-09-03 15:55:07 UTC

I think we should raise the age to 21, unless you are active military.

2020-09-03 15:55:21 UTC

well if they can't be trusted with alcohol, smoking and vaping(in some areas)...then they can't be trusted with voting

2020-09-03 15:55:38 UTC

I would say its a 40 60 split for the dems between my generation im a gen z a lot of libtards in my school

2020-09-03 15:56:35 UTC

i propose a test for viability of intelligence, ask them if they live in a republic or a democracy

2020-09-03 15:56:52 UTC

if they reply 'democracy' ..it's fail and they can't vote

2020-09-03 15:56:52 UTC

A democratic republic

2020-09-03 15:57:07 UTC

actually it's a constitutional republic

2020-09-03 15:57:25 UTC

theres no mention of the word 'democracy' in the constitution nor the bill of rights

2020-09-03 15:57:28 UTC

I think you should have to own land or something like that because you need do have skin in the game

2020-09-03 15:57:54 UTC

own land and or have a steady job

2020-09-03 15:57:56 UTC

And I dident know that thanks

2020-09-03 15:58:01 UTC

Yes agree

2020-09-03 15:58:45 UTC

i don't have a steady job but i do own my home...no mortgage

2020-09-03 15:58:54 UTC

Because if you don't do Jack shit you also wouldent care what happend to everyone elso

2020-09-03 15:59:36 UTC

And communism sounds good when you domt have anything to loose

2020-09-03 16:00:53 UTC

ship them out to cuba or some other depressed communist nation(not china)...see how they like their 'rights' and their pure communism system

2020-09-03 16:02:30 UTC

Yes

2020-09-03 16:02:57 UTC

With so *much* economic prosperity

2020-09-03 16:03:29 UTC

Ligit a game with infinite spawning enemies has a better economy that cuba

2020-09-03 16:08:56 UTC

well if they improve conditions in cuba or some other depressed nation under communism

2020-09-03 16:09:24 UTC

or finally discover whats it's like to be in a cuban prison

2020-09-03 18:15:33 UTC

I believe all these things that are set at 21 should be dropped to 18 or move everything to 21 including draft. If you can be forced to go to war, you should be able to vote, drink, smoke, etc. I'm also over 21 so I'm not even saying this to be able to do anything I can't already do.

2020-09-03 19:35:47 UTC

My main issue with raising the minimum age for things is that there's a pretty large group of folks that would suddenly note able to do certain things. I'm 19, and if I found out I can no longer vote, I would be livid.

2020-09-03 19:37:02 UTC

Just like how I was angry when I found out I could no longer buy tobacco products.

2020-09-03 19:49:14 UTC

If I was American and was over 18 and civil war broke out, I would join a militia or alternatively I would join the main army

2020-09-03 19:49:58 UTC

But I am neither American nor over 18

I'm torn on the voting thing. Part of me says leave it as is, another part thinks requiring proof of being a taxpaying citizen would be wise

And that age is largely arbitrary

2020-09-03 20:14:39 UTC

Idk if requiring taxes to vote should be a thing. You still are effected by the outcome if you pay taxes or not.

2020-09-03 20:15:03 UTC

Like i dont pay income tax or property taxes on my property.

2020-09-03 20:15:17 UTC

Yet i 100% vote

2020-09-03 20:15:44 UTC

Requiring someone to pay taxes is putting a paywall on your rights

It has issues, for instance i really dont like the idea of stay at home mothers being excluded due to not paying taxes either.
