Here I stand like other days,
In year where shops were lit ablaze,
And liars ruling places high,
Spreading fear and terror nigh,
A year when we are called to stand,
For our country, for our Land,
In times where slaughter is not new,
And young believers shattered too,
But let us not forget God, by holiness, conformed,
Who called us, speak, despite the raging storms,
Today, we eat, a blessing one,
We’ve taken for granted, without shun,
But two, these trials that we face,
Will make us stronger, in time, embrace,
For these troubles from start, will bring us near,
It’ll shake the thankless heart, will shake out fear,
Today, let us look life in the eye,
And remember this thankfulness, must never die,
Breath in your blessings, and never forget,
The uncountable blessings, these trials beget.
