2020-12-31 07:43:29 UTC

lol

2020-12-31 12:49:34 UTC

also if that school has cameras, it negates the 'privacy' section of that law because there is no privacy when theres cameras in the building

2020-12-31 12:49:54 UTC

therefore it was legal for the child to record

2020-12-31 13:05:25 UTC

Schools have a "No Phone" Policy

2020-12-31 13:46:32 UTC

no phone policy <:dogekek:726878872607653918> nobody is going to ever take these kids phones away from them

2020-12-31 13:47:21 UTC

Well she is both in the wrong and the right

2020-12-31 13:50:44 UTC

And a no phone policy is that she can't have her phone out or on at least if it's on then keep it on silent

2020-12-31 13:51:19 UTC

The teachers can take the phone away if they hear or see it till a parent comes and gets it

2020-12-31 14:15:06 UTC

lol alrighty

2020-12-31 15:18:28 UTC

@Dank_Furry_Pirate: Schools and Teachers recieve their funding (school funding and teacher salaries) from Federal and State (and possibly local) taxes. This, by definition, makes them Public Employees, just like police. They have no right to "Expectation of Privacy". Period. Just thought I'd point that out to you.

2020-12-31 16:06:35 UTC

I assume that only applies to public schools since as far as I know private schools do not have the same funding (if they do I have problems with that, but that’s another issue). Not disputing your point, as it makes sense. Just clarrifying something for myself.

2020-12-31 16:36:57 UTC

I have a revolutionary and radical solution to that; teach your kids yourself.

2020-12-31 16:55:55 UTC

@StoryGirl83, yes, I was referring to Public schools. I believe that many "Private" schools also recieve some Federal funding as well, but I am not certain of that point, nor would I know which ones do vs don't. As a side note: I believe that ALL Colleges in the US recieve Federal (and in the case of Oklahoma, State) funding as well as private funding via donations and tuition. I live in Oklahoma and know that our colleges (OU, OSU, and others) recieve State funding. I don't know about other States. There is something in the Oklahoma State Constitution that when an Oklahoma College recieves a private donation, the State must match that donation in ADDITION to the College's normal State budget.

2020-12-31 16:58:48 UTC

This became problematic when, a number of years ago, T. Boon Pickins donated several hundred million to OSU at one time. Imagine all that in Taxpayer money having to be diverted just because of that clause. There was a HUGE clamor about it throughout the State.

2020-12-31 18:50:36 UTC

gee, i wonder why

2020-12-31 19:00:48 UTC

Seems like McConnell is still on our side, hopefully he remains backing Trump

2020-12-31 19:03:41 UTC

I'm less trusting of McConnell, but we'll see.

2020-12-31 19:06:34 UTC

How many pages is the bill?

2020-12-31 19:07:29 UTC

Interesting. I attended a college in Iowa which was unaccredited and I’m fairly confident that even if they had been offered federal funds, they wouldn’t have taken them. They have since closed their doors (after 60+ years) due to a low interest in the physical college. They may still have online courses, but as the school was never about the degrees, they no longer offer those. To give you an idea of why I am confident they wouldn’t have taken federal funds, the teachers did not accept salaries and the entire cost for my four years there was around $6,000, the first year’s worth I paid nothing of due to a scholarship from the school. This included the cost of staying in the dorm.

voter fraud is illegal voters

2020-12-31 19:07:49 UTC

I would imagine there are very few if any other schools like that in the US.

2020-12-31 19:08:04 UTC

illegals voting, ppl not living where they're supposed to be at, and even the dead voting

2020-12-31 19:08:55 UTC

election fraud/corruption is a whole another matter consider it's treason

2020-12-31 19:18:12 UTC

He's trying to save face imo

2020-12-31 19:20:07 UTC

Also repealing Section 230 is throwing the baby out with the bathwater, the better solution is to take out the part that allows censorship and keep the rest

2020-12-31 19:58:30 UTC

They literally apologized after idiot

2020-12-31 20:07:28 UTC

i'm with salty on this one though, they apologized but didn't do anything to the person who sent the tweet. if they were truly apologetic they would show that it's not appropriate behavior for their employees

2020-12-31 20:08:03 UTC

actions speak louder than words

I've stayed clear of Walmart since mid 2000's after I found out they have ties with the Clinton s. The Walton family is cut from the same mold.
