@notJustin43, when openly attacked like that, the Police should be allowed to use "flash bang" (stun) grenades in return.

Morally speaking, if someone attacks you, you are free to defend yourself as needed.

I don't think a flashbang is that serious...I'm not saying make them sit on it.

I think it's a mild response compared to people who are actively cheering on an attempt at injuring these officers.

Just my views...I should probably do some research on flashbangs, now that the topic has been brought up.

I really am not familiar with the frequency at which lasting effects occur, nor the severity of the effects.

If someone were repeatedly blasted with a flashbang. One could face permanent vision and hearing loss and suffer from major concussions. However if you were just blasted by 1 the effects dont last more than a few minutes but a minor concussion will be present

You can also suffer cuts and slight burns from a flashbang, but that only happens when your standing right on top of it or literally holding it in your hand when it explodes as flash's are designed to have very little fragmentation

And Flashbang is kinda a missrepresentation of what they actually do. They dont actually generate a flash, its a shockwave that rattles the persons brain to temporarily disrupt ones senses

So sunglasses or looking away from them really wont help mitigate their effects

I feel since it has perminant effects that is should not be used

thing is you only get the permanent effects if you are repeatedly blasted by several of them over the course of a year

or if you were next to a bunch of them going off in rapid succession

and in PD its practiced that only a small amount can be thrown over a wide area

which really the only way to get blasted by them enough to suffer the permanent affects, youd have to be a pretty terrible person choosing to going to riots or in other events where Flash's are used

@C0rNfUz3d Ya know.. idk who said this.. but the other day someone stated that since the polls in 2016 were in favor of Clinton, no one was gonna believe them this go round due to how off they were. I think they’re just making the numbers more severe to compensate for that.
