Going to food banks isn't fun. and I'm sure plenty of people in the poor/poverty knows that as well. But God blessed us, we moved to Dubai, and my Dad was making 10K usd per month. (Rich compared to the US and NOT Dubai tho)
And then she had a cross in the the other room that opens up.
Well I started to pray and I literally seen the image of Jesus. And it wasn't only me she seen it to
> @isoboto that is a spirit of pride. It’s hard to accept that you can not earn your own way.
@kendikane88 i supposed so. but i think it contradicts with Buddhism -- where a person went through 7 levels of hell and repaid their sins to eventually, finally be reincarnated.
I remember clearly saying do you see that do you see that
> @TheSynical1 right but what I’m really asking is - is your opinion about the contents of the Bible based on the co tents of the Bible or based on what you’ve learned from others?
@kendikane88
As I said, it’s based on myself. My own interpretations. No man, woman or child can influence my viewpoints or relationship with God, because that relationship is solely between me and God.
I felt light as a feather like I was floating in the air tears fell down my eyes and they fell down hers too that's when I knew everything
I knew that Heaven and Hell Is Real at that moment I knew all the wrong things I've done and I felt horrible
But I was also thankful and happy because I understood why Jesus died on the cross

@TheSynical1 so based on yourself but not based on the merits of the contents of the book?
Well either way Synical, I pray that God will keep you to the right path, and help you in your time of need.
It was the best feeling I probably ever felt and I haven't felt it since I was 19
Just an unexplainable feeling
> It was the best feeling I probably ever felt and I haven't felt it since I was 19
@ARCADEIUS i'm so glad for you, man.
Note: Being that dirt poor and then spending the next four years going to expensive delicious restaurants only having to spend the next three years not being able to do that anymore really does something.
@isoboto thank you I know he was saving me and I never went looking for him
Like dude, I got spoiled in Dubai
alot
After that I started reading the Bible like a straight-up Holy Roller
But I was still young and I let what I seen get the best of me
> Just an unexplainable feeling
@ARCADEIUS yeah, i figured. I asked all christians this and they all gave me a different explanation. But usually it's "You will know when it comes to you" explanation
> Well either way Synical, I pray that God will keep you to the right path, and help you in your time of need.
@Book
Hahaha. My path is the right path for me. I don’t need God because I already have Him. That seems as though you view my stance with some sort of pity, and that’s unnecessary.
Man I was literally in the streets fist fighting with people over Jesus
What?
No
But in time I understood that that was wrong also
as a Christian it is my job to pray, it doesn't matter if you don't need it lol
But it was like I'm trying to tell people what I seen in people with tell me it's not real and you know
> Note: Being that dirt poor and then spending the next four years going to expensive delicious restaurants only having to spend the next three years not being able to do that anymore really does something.
@Book absolutely. i think living through poverty ingrained something in you -- a habit you couldn't get rid of and this imminent feeling of things are not forever
But I got older little bit wiser and I started doing it a different way more polite
19 years old I was still doing bad stuff
> as a Christian it is my job to pray, it doesn't matter if you don't need it lol
@Book
I mean fair enough, but those prayers could be spent on someone who need them more. I appreciate the sentiment though, and may you be blessed as well, but don’t fret over me 😉

@TheSynical1 sorry I’m not trying to be argumentative. I think you should spend some time reading the contents of the Bible and see for yourself if there really is room for interpretation in the different books. There are some things I cannot comprehend and some thing I think can be interpreted differently. But I don’t think it’s fair to simply say each persons truth is their own. There is right and wrong black and white. It’s not relative. It is absolute.
I'm 34 years old now

@TheSynical1 Everyone needs prayers man
The thing is I experienced demonic attack when I was a young kid also
My mom always told me it was a dream but I would always tell her it's not a dream

@isoboto I wasn't that bad don't get me wrong, there were plenty of people worse. But it was pretty bad.. and when you're going to REAL 5 star restuarants next year and then to never be able to do that kind of again...makes it hard to revert to a normal lifestyle.
> But it was like I'm trying to tell people what I seen in people with tell me it's not real and you know
@ARCADEIUS Yeah, i get you. You shouldn't be fist-fighting over Jesus, buddy, but I get the part when people are dismissive of religions because science is the more logical choice even though there are many unknown things
It wasn't until we moved down the street somebody else moved in our old house he drew a picture of a little boy in a basement surrounded by the same exact three demons that I seen when I was a kid
I've gotten somewhat used to it though, cause I don't need those things to be happy
