I swear reality is fast chasing after spoof news

2020-11-12 05:33:16 UTC

I hope you realize that *is* spoof news πŸ™ƒ I have to be sure because you occasionally run into the person who hasn't heard of the Bee despite them being around since the Obama years.

2020-11-12 05:36:38 UTC

You mean to tell me they aren't real news they are the only ones that I trust no wonder everyone makes fun of me 🀭

2020-11-12 05:41:07 UTC

@mathgrant I know its spoof. The "actual news" these days is near parody save for it not being parody in origin. Watching really old Onion News video makes me think the stuff is nearly news

2020-11-12 15:49:58 UTC

> They want to create symbol opposite of christianity
@DeButcher ah ok, makes sense

2020-11-12 15:50:05 UTC

thanks for clearing that up for me

2020-11-12 15:58:04 UTC

2020-11-12 15:59:48 UTC

40% of americans think socialism is good

2020-11-12 16:00:09 UTC

but they fail to realize

2020-11-12 16:00:38 UTC

one of the first thing socialist countries go after is religion

2020-11-12 16:19:59 UTC

Good thing 60% of us aren't idiots

2020-11-12 16:20:20 UTC

Socialism *is* good. . .

2020-11-12 16:20:24 UTC

For making memes about.

@Zallis The Pokemon for real?

2020-11-12 17:52:49 UTC

It can’t be real, can it?

2020-11-12 18:40:10 UTC

40% of those polled by leftist polling companies

2020-11-12 18:46:30 UTC

True

2020-11-12 18:47:09 UTC

And I was listening to glen beck when I heard it so I dont have a source source

2020-11-12 18:48:12 UTC

57% of Democrats now view socialism positively, little changed from 2010

2020-11-12 19:08:29 UTC

From both parties it averages to about 40%

2020-11-12 19:17:03 UTC

But ya me no want china

2020-11-12 21:09:49 UTC

I feel like the average Christian who votes Democrat fails to see how a socialist state desecrates the church

2020-11-12 21:10:13 UTC

Socialist governments drive anything "free" underground

2020-11-12 22:27:40 UTC

@mightytrump But Jesus rode a donkey! πŸ™„

2020-11-12 22:50:02 UTC

I think the donkey he rode had integrity

2020-11-12 22:50:16 UTC

Unlike the DNC donkey

speaking of Satanic imagery in films - as someone who knows just enough to be dangerous (aka I was on Google for five minutes one time), The House with the Clock in its Walls is full of it. It uses actual medieval demons, actual witchcraft terminology, realistic spells, and although Satan is a bad thing, involves Satanic rituals

2020-11-13 00:51:36 UTC

and it's PG

2020-11-13 00:51:50 UTC

*guard thy hearts, brethren. And sistren. However you say that last bit.*

2020-11-13 00:52:25 UTC

also - the pentagram was once used as a Christian symbol to signify the five points where Jesus was nailed to the cross

2020-11-13 00:54:05 UTC

just an interesting tidbit

2020-11-13 00:56:14 UTC

The House with the Clock in its Walls was freakin creepy(for PG). We watched it as a family, and it definitely wasn't what I expected. Way too realistic for my little siblings. I thought it was gonna be a funny kinda show, certainly wasn't.

2020-11-13 00:56:58 UTC

Agreed. We made it only part way through; the moment I saw the demons in the spellbooks, I recognized them from wikipedia. I texted my mom who was watching it with us since I didn't want to say anything and she went "nope."

2020-11-13 00:57:24 UTC

Then we looked up the PluggedIn review and were mortified.

2020-11-13 00:58:43 UTC

Which is hard to do for me. I've seen both Conjuring films and have even shown portions of both to my younger siblings. The difference was that The Conjuring presents everything spiritual as complete and utter evil. It's a struggle between good and evil and the lines are clearly drawn, even if some things are on the good side that shouldn't be

2020-11-13 01:00:05 UTC

Like for real, for all it's theological faults, The Conjuring ironically provides a story about love and power from God versus Satan and the forces of evil, whereas A Clock teaches kids to use witchcraft because it's fun

2020-11-13 01:00:47 UTC

It's sad when the R rated movies are less of a problem than the PG rated one

2020-11-13 01:01:32 UTC

Yeah like going on a dare to summon and reincarnate stuff. idk when I saw the necromancy and demonic stuff, i didn't pay attention. Played with my little brother and sister instead. It really is tho. Its all how it was marketed too.
