I feel like the average Christian who votes Democrat fails to see how a socialist state desecrates the church
Socialist governments drive anything "free" underground

@mightytrump But Jesus rode a donkey! 🙄
I think the donkey he rode had integrity
Unlike the DNC donkey
speaking of Satanic imagery in films - as someone who knows just enough to be dangerous (aka I was on Google for five minutes one time), The House with the Clock in its Walls is full of it. It uses actual medieval demons, actual witchcraft terminology, realistic spells, and although Satan is a bad thing, involves Satanic rituals
and it's PG
*guard thy hearts, brethren. And sistren. However you say that last bit.*
also - the pentagram was once used as a Christian symbol to signify the five points where Jesus was nailed to the cross
just an interesting tidbit
The House with the Clock in its Walls was freakin creepy(for PG). We watched it as a family, and it definitely wasn't what I expected. Way too realistic for my little siblings. I thought it was gonna be a funny kinda show, certainly wasn't.
Agreed. We made it only part way through; the moment I saw the demons in the spellbooks, I recognized them from wikipedia. I texted my mom who was watching it with us since I didn't want to say anything and she went "nope."
Then we looked up the PluggedIn review and were mortified.
Which is hard to do for me. I've seen both Conjuring films and have even shown portions of both to my younger siblings. The difference was that The Conjuring presents everything spiritual as complete and utter evil. It's a struggle between good and evil and the lines are clearly drawn, even if some things are on the good side that shouldn't be
Like for real, for all it's theological faults, The Conjuring ironically provides a story about love and power from God versus Satan and the forces of evil, whereas A Clock teaches kids to use witchcraft because it's fun
It's sad when the R rated movies are less of a problem than the PG rated one
Yeah like going on a dare to summon and reincarnate stuff. idk when I saw the necromancy and demonic stuff, i didn't pay attention. Played with my little brother and sister instead. It really is tho. Its all how it was marketed too.
^
exactly
A Clock was straight up deceptive
Ironic that this year made me believe in God again
@mightytrump that is one of my favorite megadeth songs cause it combines Christianity and metal which is the most badass things in my opinion
Trumps the notion "Metal is demonic!!11!"
Also *Leper Messiah* would be another good one because it denounces televangelism
And *The God That Failed* talks about the Christian heretics
The followers of said televangelism included
like seriously who in the hell thinks a guitar is construct of satan
and using God given talents
> Trumps the notion "Metal is demonic!!11!"
@mightytrump Theocracy is a pretty good Christian metal band, I think. It's symphonic, and sung, not screamed, so my sensitive ears can actually enjoy it, but it's still metal.
A lot of bands, typically modern, tend to scream
Older bands yell
Its not awfully loud in the mix
When not actually singing with melody
Not to be a party pooper but satan is a great musician. @Texas Crusader
I don't like using Plugged In. My parent's used it when my brother and I were younger. But we still ended up seeing the movies that they ranked low.
If we used the Plugged In score for every movie, I would never see a single movie in my life.
