They're in the Bible but ok

2020-11-27 23:57:27 UTC

objectively you can conclude that based on what is most beneficial for humans to exist.

2020-11-27 23:57:36 UTC

Well, technically yes.
God is the source of knowing what is right and wrong.
Without Him, there’s not really a definite standard for what is good or bad

2020-11-27 23:57:45 UTC

god is the source... lol

2020-11-27 23:58:11 UTC

"Hey can I ask you guys why you believe in Christianity."

"Lol you think God is responsible for anything?"

2020-11-27 23:58:12 UTC

It is not beneficial is a blanket epistemically descriptive statement. You have not provided an ontological backbone to why it is wrong. Only Christianity can provide that foundation for why it is wrong to murder. It is wrong to murder because humans are made in God's image and we do not have absolute authority over one another's life.

2020-11-27 23:58:18 UTC

If God is creator of the universe then yes he is the source

2020-11-27 23:58:35 UTC

Nuro acted like I was gonna be toxic

2020-11-27 23:59:00 UTC

A humans right to life is granted not by a god but simply by having sentience. We know pain, and to inflict pain is wrong.

2020-11-27 23:59:05 UTC

god doesnt need to tell us that.

This coupled with the historicity of the Resurrection of Jesus.

2020-11-27 23:59:09 UTC

thats my standing

2020-11-27 23:59:10 UTC

Yes He does

2020-11-27 23:59:16 UTC

He made the World so of course He does lol

2020-11-27 23:59:31 UTC

But how do u know it wrong.

2020-11-27 23:59:35 UTC

@Smash Boy And by foundation I'm sure you mean more so the context as to why certain rules were laid forth by revelation, aye?

2020-11-27 23:59:46 UTC

You know its wrong to hurt others because you know what pain is.

2020-11-27 23:59:47 UTC

That's how I interpreted you at the meaar

2020-11-27 23:59:52 UTC

Sentience is what does that.

2020-11-28 00:00:03 UTC

mirror neurons

2020-11-28 00:00:10 UTC

And its painful because of how God made us, and we know it's wrong because of what He told us

2020-11-28 00:00:36 UTC

You miss the point. You once again cannot provide an ontological grounds for which you condemn that which you label as 'wrong' apart from the biblical worldview. It is wrong to murder because we have innate knowledge of God which has instill a value to value and respect image bearers which we are equal to as humans and disrespecting that is a violation of that value.

2020-11-28 00:00:36 UTC

If you needed a god to tell you thats wrong, well... maybe they did back then.

2020-11-28 00:01:02 UTC

i value humans not because god told me to, but because i value myself.

2020-11-28 00:01:06 UTC

God doesn't need to "tell us", He writes that down in our core of our being and we act in that way.

2020-11-28 00:01:08 UTC

God makes the Universe.

God sets the rules for the Universe.

All in the Universe reflects those rules.

Snobbish monkey 10 epochs later attributes it to pure chance.

2020-11-28 00:01:38 UTC

Also called conscience

2020-11-28 00:01:58 UTC

none of what you guys think comes from god " has " to come from god objectively.

2020-11-28 00:02:06 UTC

I understand we will not agree here

2020-11-28 00:02:07 UTC

thats fine.

2020-11-28 00:02:10 UTC

No it does

2020-11-28 00:02:10 UTC

That is vicious circular reasoning. You cannot ground morality solely by your decree to arbitrarily value yourself.

2020-11-28 00:02:20 UTC

What do you mean. Explain

2020-11-28 00:02:25 UTC

Because He made the rules that allows for that to be observed

2020-11-28 00:02:43 UTC

Stop acting all "agree to disagree" because you're stubborn

2020-11-28 00:02:55 UTC

God wound the clock, and the clock ticks accordingly

2020-11-28 00:02:58 UTC

im arguing with too many people 😄

2020-11-28 00:03:02 UTC

Thanks guys.

2020-11-28 00:03:04 UTC

Lol

2020-11-28 00:03:12 UTC

"Has to come" is worded very wrongly here. Morality *necessarily* is a consequence by virtue of God's existence. Only because He exists that you may have a sense of morality.

2020-11-28 00:03:28 UTC

"Thanks guys" For what? You ignored all our points and we got nowhere.
