@Nuro you can feel free to pm me if you don’t want get interruptions
Morality is a method of being that produces results that are considered favorable for the livelihoods of individuals , but also for that of the society as well.
Oh yes isolate him from people who might disagree with him
Its generally considered beneficial to not kill eachother . Not because christianity says dont do it.
if you understand fundamentally why not killing someone is better. You can make an educated decision.
The issue with ridding the the moral tales in religious texts( in this case Christianity) of divinity,is that it removes the "ought" from our responsibilities. What I mean by that, is that the duty of a father to fight and in some cases die for his family is rooted (in the Christian sense) is displayed in Christ(the groom) dying for his bride(the church). This "duty" of men to fight, kill, and die for others is seen as a great burden, and a greater sacrifice. And we are expected to *want* to do it as it is right. Removing the Divine aspect makes it a horrendous act on par with not only have slaves that are reared up to fight, but to condition them with being content with their lot in life.
Christisnity says don't do it because God says don't do it and God made those rules
Morality isn't the only thing that is grounded within the biblical worldview. The preconditions of intelligible knowledge itself, proves the biblical worldview is true. Without revelation from God through some means, you could not know anything.
Genius
ok but morality isnt grounded in a biblical worldview.
God's rules are universally applicable so duh they're reflected universally
They're in the Bible but ok
objectively you can conclude that based on what is most beneficial for humans to exist.
Well, technically yes.
God is the source of knowing what is right and wrong.
Without Him, there’s not really a definite standard for what is good or bad
god is the source... lol
"Hey can I ask you guys why you believe in Christianity."
"Lol you think God is responsible for anything?"
It is not beneficial is a blanket epistemically descriptive statement. You have not provided an ontological backbone to why it is wrong. Only Christianity can provide that foundation for why it is wrong to murder. It is wrong to murder because humans are made in God's image and we do not have absolute authority over one another's life.
Nuro acted like I was gonna be toxic
A humans right to life is granted not by a god but simply by having sentience. We know pain, and to inflict pain is wrong.
god doesnt need to tell us that.

This coupled with the historicity of the Resurrection of Jesus.
thats my standing
Yes He does
He made the World so of course He does lol
But how do u know it wrong.
@Smash Boy And by foundation I'm sure you mean more so the context as to why certain rules were laid forth by revelation, aye?
You know its wrong to hurt others because you know what pain is.
That's how I interpreted you at the meaar
Sentience is what does that.
mirror neurons
And its painful because of how God made us, and we know it's wrong because of what He told us
You miss the point. You once again cannot provide an ontological grounds for which you condemn that which you label as 'wrong' apart from the biblical worldview. It is wrong to murder because we have innate knowledge of God which has instill a value to value and respect image bearers which we are equal to as humans and disrespecting that is a violation of that value.
If you needed a god to tell you thats wrong, well... maybe they did back then.
i value humans not because god told me to, but because i value myself.
God doesn't need to "tell us", He writes that down in our core of our being and we act in that way.
God makes the Universe.
God sets the rules for the Universe.
All in the Universe reflects those rules.
Snobbish monkey 10 epochs later attributes it to pure chance.
