Is everything going ok?

2020-12-03 01:21:30 UTC

It is well. The last few years of not been "good" in the normal sense of the word. But, my faith is strong, my resolve unquenched.

I remembered the first time I dropped into this part of the server, fully expecting a bunch of keyboard warriors shit talking each other, with no coherency to be. I'm glad that I was pleasantly surprised. The talks here have helped me make my opinions known and I like to think I have helped others who may have been struggling.

2020-12-03 01:38:06 UTC

Look up “Fiat Creation and the Culture of Life”

2020-12-03 08:06:21 UTC

Also Douey-Rheims (DR) is the best translation of the Latin Vulgate.

2020-12-03 10:09:45 UTC

That's a good version

2020-12-03 10:10:06 UTC

I use the NRSV but I do have a DRA.

2020-12-03 14:29:19 UTC

I use NKJV

2020-12-03 15:06:33 UTC

jesus was the swaggest man ever

2020-12-03 15:34:06 UTC

My main is NKJV thou as a kid I memorized many of the verses I know in KJV.

2020-12-03 16:04:51 UTC

Stick with the (old) King James Bible! You'll never go wrong with it. All others have many problems.

2020-12-03 16:05:33 UTC

Yes I concur

2020-12-03 16:25:22 UTC

A priest too.

2020-12-03 16:42:38 UTC

2020-12-03 16:45:31 UTC

Well, you won't last long if that's how you feel.

2020-12-03 16:46:00 UTC

2020-12-03 16:46:45 UTC

That's not the reason for the warn. He sent a few posts that were not English.

2020-12-03 16:47:00 UTC

oh lol sorry

2020-12-03 16:50:23 UTC

could you explain further, because i believe its good to use different versions when doing a deep study of the bible

2020-12-03 16:51:08 UTC

i do like the KJV so dont get me wrong

2020-12-03 16:55:22 UTC
2020-12-03 16:55:43 UTC

both old Hebrew and English

2020-12-03 16:59:41 UTC

i go there lol

2020-12-03 17:42:13 UTC

I think the KJV is best since it’s closest to the original texts. Less altered over time, y’know? There are great things in every version but I just think that one is the most original.

2020-12-03 19:05:05 UTC

I'll sometimes switch to NIV when I'm having a hard time understanding something because of the language but KJV/NKJV is my main. If your reading with a non believer or new believer, the older language of KJV is sometimes I believe an unnecessary barrier.

2020-12-03 19:49:09 UTC

i also like the amplified version because it makes things more clearer that are harder to understand

2020-12-03 19:59:35 UTC

I use the NASB Bible

2020-12-03 21:54:18 UTC

I use the NIV for easier comprehension

2020-12-03 21:56:14 UTC

(remember these commandments and keep them in your heart.) Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:37-40 NKJV
