Look up “Fiat Creation and the Culture of Life”
Also Douey-Rheims (DR) is the best translation of the Latin Vulgate.
Satanists usually mock the Catholic Church and Our Lady. (ie black masses)
The diorama in the back is interesting. Could be a genuine benevolent image, except that they are mixing up two myteries: Jesus’ Death (he is in the tomb) and Mary’s Coronation (she is wearing a crown) the two wouldn’t likely be depicted together. Also, her face is painted rather menacingly. Other icons in the picture are The Holy Shroud of Turin and the cock that crowed three times at Peter’s denial of having known Jesus.
It’s not wrong to call out the Catholic Church for the sex crimes, but they also get the worst of it from the media. The stats for abuse in the public school system are much higher, and also the autonomous churchs like southern Baptist have a huge problem with it. Their autonomy makes it harder to pin down than the bigger system that is the Catholic Church.
You can either choose to begin your life in heaven here on earth now, or you can choose to begin your life in hell here now. Even with the suffering (and no one knows the depths suffering more than Christ) , there is still the goodness of God in all creation if you look for Him.
You can thank Adam for that when you@see him
The suffering is a gift as well
God teaches us so much through suffering
We are stained with Original Sin from conception.
Washed away at baptism but the wound is still there and Concupiscence
Make a habit of writing out each day ten things you are grateful for. That is how I started after hitting rock bottom.
What about people who haven’t reached the age of reason?
That’s what we call “the culture of death”
Baptism is a Sacrament. An official sign from God
From the moment of conception, the soul is infused into the body. That soul is immortal and belongs to God. It is possible for a person who has never known the public revelation of Christ to fall into sin: that is by breaking what is called the Natural Law. The normal conscience (right/wrong) that all people possess. So I guess I’m trying to say the same thing a different way. Yes, they have an excuse. But they still would have to come to God with that stain of Original Sin to account for if they were not baptized.
But we hope and trust in His Divine Mercy that he would take pity on them
That quote is also interesting— it can be taken at face value, but Jesus was speaking with just his disciples at that point, and not to the crowd. So what he means is that there will be a very bad place to go for the shepherd who forbids “the little ones”, the sheep to come to Him.
It’s a strong warning for all those who have authority in the church.
Not arguing, just saying that the Bible is read from multiple layers: there is the first layer which is face value, but then there layers underneath that are very fascinating and beautiful.
I’ve learned a lot from listening to Francis Hoggan, this little old lady in Ireland who is like a sage. There is one for free on youboob Shalom Network “Voyage” she dissects the Gospel of Matthew. It’s brilliant.

You will know them by their fruits
You can know if a person is a follower of Christ, if he displays the Christian virtues.
Here is a talk about another philosopher.

“There is no such thing as an unattractive temptation.” -Fr John Hardon (a celibate priest)
There is no forgiveness without contrition.
I thought it wasn’t a choice? You said it wasn’t a choice
Everyone has sin. We all have temptations
If God has allowed someone a temptation, He will also give that person the grace to overcome it. It’s why God allows suffering too. For our betterment. We belong to him. You can suffer from same-sex attraction and be a Christian yes.
I disagree
Satan can make sin appear so sweet at first, but it always goes sour
Look at the alcoholic: he may say, I’m not hurting anyone and it makes my life better. But many people have died from it.
Our Lord wants to free us from our sins, not leave us there. It is difficult.
It is an unnatural disordered attraction, but i believe it does happen. Look at people who are prone to ADD. You cannot say they choose to have ADD
It’s not a perfect analogy
Disagree with you again Danny
They will be judged by the light of truth which God revealed to each of them
Because nature was also changed by the original sin of Adam and Eve. The entire cosmos is broken
It is ok to have a deep admiration for another person of the same sex.
Sex is only moral between married man and woman for the procreation of children.
Sex is reserved as a privilege between two people who are married under God. The intimate union physically is supposed to reflect the union of Christ and His Church.
Notice the word privilege not entitlement.
Men and women who are having sex outside of marriage are also committing sin although many do not know it. But homosexual sex also has the added sin of going against the Natural Law.
Without the law of god There is still what’s called the natural law which is implanted in every person at the moment of conception
I’m just trying to listen to whatever you would like to say
It will destroy those fragile membranes over time and you will find it gets worse
If you suffer from same sex attraction, you are probably called to live a very holy life of celibacy. It could be a real blessing
No everyone has sexuality. Priests and religious make the choice to be married to the church as a sacrifice. It is beautiful gift.
I don’t think that was very charitable Danny
No you can’t be blamed for involuntary bodily functions
The devil wants to point the finger at you and say “you are bad” but god loves you and wants to help you
He loves to swoop in after we sin and condemn us
The devil that is
We all have our crosses to bear
You are so loved
I have to go, but may God Bless everyone here. +JMJ+
Your sexuality is a part of you but You are MORE than your sexuality.
God does not promise ANY of us happiness in this life. Only in the next
You will find there is a lot in life that you can’t change. Have you ever prayed the serenity prayer?
God grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.
Amen
That’s why it is good to be catholic. We have a book called the “catechism” which explains the truths of our faith and the Bible.
Not trying to start a fight with my dear Protestant brothers and sisters, just trying to say there are other resources for how to be a Christian than the Bible out there.
There are many prayers
Yes the media love to attack the Catholic Church in particular
Yes it is terrible
There are many good Catholics though. There are also good Protestants
It must be what Christ felt when he knew Judas would betray him
That’s not quite a perfect analogy. Because there is a lot of abuse in other denominations as well. It just doesn’t get the same publicity.
Not whatever the pope says. The pope has his own opinions. When he speaks infallibly, it is only in a very particular circumstance. And the reason is it more systemic is because the Catholic Church is a bigger “system”. Abuse in smaller autonomous churches are covered up by other means. Like for example not wanting to lose parishioners or other reasons.
But in my own opinion, this pope is a particularly bad one. There have been bad pipes before, but this is really bad
Right
It provides the most money to charity annually, and there is really good theology there, if you look at it
Food for the Poor
There are some corrupted charities the church hasn’t caught onto yet. Like the CRS fund
You have friends in Haiti?
I’m naturally skeptical too. It has a purpose
There’s always a balance and it’s no reason to give up. Hope is a virtue
Blue pill see previous comments
Yes we sin everyday
I ask for the grace of contrition for my sins and for God to reveal the sins I don’t know about.
In every action, there is a grace to be gained or lost.
We are all rotten to the core
See previous comments
No one is entitled to that
God wants you to give up everything for him if he asks
“Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death.” This world is the shadow of death, although God is with us. We were not made for this world but for the next. Satan himself tempted Our Lord in the desert. He knows also what temptation feels like. He suffers with you.
The sinner dies clutching his sin
If you are already a good person, you have no need for God
Imma head out now
Blessed be God
Blessed be His Holy Name
Blessed be His Sacred Heart
Ut in Omnibus Glorificetur Deus. Vado Santana!
May God Bless you +
Pray for the conversion of Biden. He is attending Mass right now, only then to go sign papers to overturn the prolife laws trump installed. Sacrilege and murder.
No they won’t excommunicate anyone these days.
The road to hell is paved with the skulls of bishops
