I have one very Catholic friend in particular who is against him because of his teachings, I'm thinking the gay marriage thing, but I have never looked into the current Pope's actual position on that.

Not a full Protestant, there were things I liked about the faith and I don't mean to come off as if I know better. But I do know some things and I have common sense.
