Yeah
So you would rather spend eternity suffering when you could chose God?
Ok that wasnât my question. If you acknowledge your sins and know the gravity of your affront you wonât feel guilty?
why would you not want to have your sins forgiven?
asking is not proving you're worthy of being forgiven
You don't have to be "worthy"
Youâre not
And you never can be
Im not worthy of being forgiven But jesus did anyways
It's not a system of credit and debit, it's a parent and child relationship.
yes its a relationship
It's a black spot on your soul. But Jesus took that black spot when he died.
I don't know if this has anything to do with religion.
but you don't know if you don't try. what is in hell waiting for us?
Alright letâs let him respond lol
God is the parent and we are the childs
i am guilty. i don't want double-guilty by transferring my guilt over to someone else
It's different interpretations and world outlook.
That doesn't make you guilty when Jesus took them from you willingly.
Yes, we do know. Trying isnât the thing here. The Bible makes it clear that human âtryingâ is literally us running in the wrong direction. That said what awaits in Hell is suffering. Worse suffering than ever. If youâd like to know why then I could try to explain but Iâm not fully educated on the matter
God is the father that never leaves
If God left us we would be so toast
well. "worst suffering" and "eternal suffering" is a price we must pay as humans if we commit those sins. it's on us
There is no double guilty. If youâre guilty of sinning then you are already guilty of being the reason Jesus died. That makes you an accessory. If you accept Jesus what He does is decide to forgive you for being the reason He died (in its simpler form)
i'm not anywhere close to salvation đ i don't know if i can or will
You don't have to pay the eternal suffering, Jesus paid the fine for your sins
U right, and although a parent can pay for the damages a child makes (breaks a window), a child still needs to make some "pennance". So it isn't really a get out of jail free card.
No,because youâre not understanding what âsinâ truly is
Thats where repentance comes in
That's right
We are to not only stop sinning but run the other way
it felt wrong, though. i don't think i'm worthy for god/jesus to die for me just for i can enjoy good things
I love how Jesus says "Go and sin no more"
Man we gotta give him more time to respond lol
it's not something you can pay back quickly and it's ingrained in our system. but in Buddhism people are allowed to be sinners, with all their flaws. but if they express regrets and remorse, they will be free earlier
If you let a child sin with no disipline they will have no restraint to keep on sinning
it isn't. but that's where we differ though. i think the "penance" should be paid by myself, god thinks the penance is asking for forgiveness
I have to go to bed now tho its 2 am.
Ok, none of us are worthy. We actually all feel that way. That said. Each individualâs sin is the reason that Jesus had to die. We all caused His death. When Jesus died it was so that we could be forgiven for being accessories to His murder. Jesus takes on our sin in that He becomes our lawyer. He shows how through one action we were REDEEMED. He doesnât take on our guilt at the cross. Every Christian I know still feels that guilt and shame. What He DOES do is advocate on our behalf
