Baptism is a symbol of being born again. Santification is an everyday process.
Why call it an apple i believe it siad God destroyed the forbidden treee
No, God took that tree away from earth, apples are still here
That's what I thought
Baptism is a public proclamation of faith modeled in the imagery of new birth
well, that's where my second complain come in 😂 i think it's weird god creates a bunch of clones of himself to worship him
Actually being born again only happens once
I haven't delved into the concept/doctrine to say either way. But I'll read up on it.
Yes but being baptized in holy spirit is different
i've no doubt about god's power. but. history is written by the victors.
i think Watermelon was still scrolling through old messages 😂
I'm not arguing
Im just saying
We aren’t clones of him either. If we were clones of Him we would also be clones of each other. Created in Gods image means that we were given things that his other creations were not. A lot of people truly believe, and the belief has basis, that we are the only beings God created that God actually loves
Sorry I may have ping the worng person to see if they know
We do have early christian documents on the proper formula of baptism...i saw something about "the didache" .
Yeah from what I know purgatory is pretty well disproved in the Bible HOWEVER I want to discuss this more with you because I have heard and read and thought something interesting on the matter
aren't we clones of each other? that's why god creates babel, meant to drive us apart
Right now I'm watching the lord of the rings lol
Jesus died for everyone. You don't have to feel guilty because Jesus died for your sins. Take a leap of faith and accept Him.
No, we created Babel. God told us to spread across the earth far before then and we were already diverse. What God did at Babel was simply scramble up our languages
He also didn’t send us to specific regions
This isn't star wars lol
We just kinda got upset with each other and spread out
I think the moral of the story of the tower of babel was "man's arrogance screws himself again".
same difference, though, no? we were building castles and erecting towers. and god doesn't like it, so he scrambles up the language
Also explains why different languages exist
Yeah, that too
No, we were directly disobeying God AGAIN and then we also said, “let’s just pretend like we are gods”
well, no. i'm saying by having different language and regions of living wouldn't our ideas naturally diverge?
So God said, “you didn’t spread out before but you will now”
Kind of, yes. We see a lot of very similar mathematics show up in very different areas at the same time
Good night!
true. but god still scrambled up the language, which further driven people away from each other. i highlighted that passages specifically so i'm pretty sure i'm correct. although it may be different intepretation
Yes, people spread out. What I was saying there is that the point you stated was incorrect
True some gifts are horrible 😂 but a real and loving parents would see the love of child over the gift.
That would mean God is not powerful and is weak.
God didn’t do this on a whim over something that wasn’t significant
Well, I don't think that a "lesser" being can defeat His creator. Especially when the lesser being is faced with handicaps...being the lesser. It's sort of like the watch and the watchmaker.
true. but still. mortals should at least gave god something he likes
