The concept does make sense...i haven't delved into it so much. From what i know it is an "in between" of heaven and hell.

2020-12-20 07:24:06 UTC

but what about the angels? the angels are supposed to worship AND protect him

2020-12-20 07:24:42 UTC

well. we'll be having a very different conversation if satan/lucifer's coup was successful

2020-12-20 07:24:43 UTC

God doesn’t need protection. The angels were made to do Gods bidding. In this they worship Him. They also literally worship him

2020-12-20 07:24:56 UTC

Ok cool

2020-12-20 07:25:16 UTC

Well this disproves purgatory

“Then he cried and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.’ But Abraham said, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented. And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor can those from there pass to us.’
Luke 16:24‭-‬26
Proof of no Purgatory

2020-12-20 07:25:35 UTC

but then why would he create MORE worshippers? (and also, useless/redundant ones, seeing that we only worship him, and maybe do his bidding)

2020-12-20 07:26:19 UTC

Because we serve a different purpose than the angels. We see this in the fact that we are the only beings in existence to be created in Gods image

2020-12-20 07:26:19 UTC

Not really, satan was a fallen angel, having lesser "powers" than the One that created him.

2020-12-20 07:26:33 UTC

Baptism is a symbol of being born again. Santification is an everyday process.

2020-12-20 07:26:45 UTC

Why call it an apple i believe it siad God destroyed the forbidden treee

2020-12-20 07:26:47 UTC

No, God took that tree away from earth, apples are still here

2020-12-20 07:27:07 UTC

That's what I thought

2020-12-20 07:27:22 UTC

Baptism is a public proclamation of faith modeled in the imagery of new birth

2020-12-20 07:27:32 UTC

well, that's where my second complain come in 😂 i think it's weird god creates a bunch of clones of himself to worship him

2020-12-20 07:27:35 UTC

Actually being born again only happens once

2020-12-20 07:27:40 UTC

I haven't delved into the concept/doctrine to say either way. But I'll read up on it.

2020-12-20 07:27:43 UTC

Yes but being baptized in holy spirit is different

2020-12-20 07:28:11 UTC

i've no doubt about god's power. but. history is written by the victors.

2020-12-20 07:28:47 UTC

i think Watermelon was still scrolling through old messages 😂

2020-12-20 07:28:48 UTC

I'm not arguing

2020-12-20 07:28:53 UTC

Im just saying

2020-12-20 07:28:59 UTC

We aren’t clones of him either. If we were clones of Him we would also be clones of each other. Created in Gods image means that we were given things that his other creations were not. A lot of people truly believe, and the belief has basis, that we are the only beings God created that God actually loves

2020-12-20 07:29:48 UTC

Sorry I may have ping the worng person to see if they know

2020-12-20 07:29:52 UTC

We do have early christian documents on the proper formula of baptism...i saw something about "the didache" .

2020-12-20 07:29:57 UTC

Yeah from what I know purgatory is pretty well disproved in the Bible HOWEVER I want to discuss this more with you because I have heard and read and thought something interesting on the matter

2020-12-20 07:30:07 UTC

aren't we clones of each other? that's why god creates babel, meant to drive us apart

2020-12-20 07:30:37 UTC

Right now I'm watching the lord of the rings lol

2020-12-20 07:30:42 UTC

Jesus died for everyone. You don't have to feel guilty because Jesus died for your sins. Take a leap of faith and accept Him.

2020-12-20 07:31:02 UTC

from different language to different religions and different regions that we live in

2020-12-20 07:31:10 UTC

No, we created Babel. God told us to spread across the earth far before then and we were already diverse. What God did at Babel was simply scramble up our languages

2020-12-20 07:31:49 UTC

He also didn’t send us to specific regions

2020-12-20 07:31:59 UTC

This isn't star wars lol

2020-12-20 07:32:00 UTC

We just kinda got upset with each other and spread out

2020-12-20 07:32:02 UTC

I think the moral of the story of the tower of babel was "man's arrogance screws himself again".

2020-12-20 07:32:06 UTC

same difference, though, no? we were building castles and erecting towers. and god doesn't like it, so he scrambles up the language

2020-12-20 07:32:26 UTC

Also explains why different languages exist

2020-12-20 07:32:45 UTC

Yeah, that too

2020-12-20 07:32:49 UTC

No, we were directly disobeying God AGAIN and then we also said, “let’s just pretend like we are gods”

2020-12-20 07:33:06 UTC

well, no. i'm saying by having different language and regions of living wouldn't our ideas naturally diverge?

2020-12-20 07:33:13 UTC

So God said, “you didn’t spread out before but you will now”
