Once I drop this thing in the back and put taller and fatter tires on it, it's gonna look menacing

> Was gonna be back in March until a certain virus happened
@Anony 115 that sucks, I’ve got a 2 month expired license because of the stupid virus

2020-09-21 01:24:25 UTC

I plan on running a 295 on all four

2020-09-21 01:25:12 UTC

I gotta go see what they are real quick they are wide tires

2020-09-21 01:26:41 UTC

295/50/15

2020-09-21 01:27:41 UTC

It's about a 26.5 inch tall tire that's about 11 inches wide at the tread pattern

2020-09-21 01:28:07 UTC

Thats a pretty common size tire

2020-09-21 01:29:34 UTC

The 295/50s are about an inch and a half shorter and an inch wider than what you have

2020-09-21 01:30:14 UTC

I couldn’t remember if they were 255 or 275, my dad had them on his 1968 impala but he put a disc brakes on it after that they didn’t fit anymore, so we traded wheels. Both of our cars have rally wheels

2020-09-21 01:30:48 UTC

The rims are 15x8 in the rear.

2020-09-21 01:31:40 UTC

To change the rear wheels I have to drop the rear shock to get them on/off lmao

2020-09-21 01:32:06 UTC

My car has 15x10 wheels on all four

2020-09-21 01:32:15 UTC

The Vette?

2020-09-21 01:32:17 UTC

Yep

2020-09-21 01:32:24 UTC

Wow that’s cool

2020-09-21 01:32:29 UTC

Thats not stock

2020-09-21 01:32:45 UTC

Someone before me flared the fenders 3 inches

2020-09-21 01:32:56 UTC

I know, you don’t have the wheel wells to rub like I do

2020-09-21 01:33:21 UTC

I do, but they just ran more negative offset, lol

2020-09-21 01:33:40 UTC

That and they’re flared out more

2020-09-21 01:33:47 UTC

Yeah

2020-09-21 01:34:28 UTC

I still need to put the rest of the front end together. Tie rods are still out, needs a new idler arm

2020-09-21 01:34:35 UTC

Sway bar still has to go in

2020-09-21 01:34:58 UTC

I just half ass put it together because I wanted to see what the new springs would do to the ride height

2020-09-21 01:35:36 UTC

That’s my dads 68

He loves that car. 396 with a Muncie m20 4 speed

2020-09-21 01:40:30 UTC

M20 is a good transmission. My car has an M21 waiting to go in it

2020-09-21 01:41:18 UTC

My 60 has its factory 235.5 with a Muncie m20 and a 3.55-1 rear end

2020-09-21 01:42:32 UTC

I had my M21 rebuilt and upgraded by a dude

2020-09-21 01:42:44 UTC

That’s awesome

2020-09-21 01:43:00 UTC

We put a billet midplate in there, Hurst shifter, countershaft that bolts to the midplate so it can't spin

2020-09-21 01:43:37 UTC

That’s cool

2020-09-21 01:44:04 UTC

Stout little box

2020-09-21 01:44:11 UTC

Sweet

2020-09-21 01:44:37 UTC

Better be though, I'm like 1800 dollars deep into that thing, lol

2020-09-21 01:45:38 UTC

I spent 500 on the trans thankfully I didn’t have to rebuild it

2020-09-21 01:46:20 UTC

Mine came with the car. Was ran low on oil

2020-09-21 01:46:23 UTC
