One of the local health clinics in my town has been running ads on YouTube telling people to wear masks. However all the b-roll in the video are from places I don't even recognize so I don't even think they filmed most of the ad in town and probably just grabbed mask footage online. The least they could do is actually do the b-roll of recognizable local places.

However the reason they may have had to just pull things from online is because almost no one wears a mask with the exception on inside the university buildings where it's required and a few places that require/ask you to wear a mask and not always even then.

Interesting.

So, do you feel less or more proud of your town than before?

I'd say that the clinic probably has people's best interest in mind but I'm more proud that people in town in genrlt aren't living in fear and actually living life as much as we can.

Tbh, ill wear a face cover when the vaccine comes out lol.

If your vulnerable that's understandable but I'm 24 without any preexisting conditions (that makes COVID worse at least) so I'd rather live my life rather then be in constant fear. For me I have a greater chance if dying from almost anything else then COVID.

That said, if others want to wear a mask indefinitely, I have no problem, do what you think is necessary.

I just feel like if you think it can affect you just stay at home, no need to harass others about masks.

This is the only pandemic in human history that quarantined the healthy.

Well, there was a study done, easily findable in archives, from 2008, that stated a large chunk of deaths during the Spanish Flu were caused by bacterial pneumonia from wearing paper masks.

One of the top names on that paper was Fauci.

I think he knew that, which is why he was anti-mask at first, but caved to pressure from the left later.

Would not be surprised, some of these people are smart but have no spine.

Fauci was a blood-borne pathogen specialist. I'm sure he knows other things, but you have a guy who is an AIDS expert running a pandemic of a coronavirus.

In my opinion everything from the 1800s till now has been man made. Everyone involved know mask don't work. Just another tool to divide people.

the "news" section on reddit is full of fake news garbage.

subreddits that arent even political just end up becoming infested with posts trashing trump and conservatives. its pretty annoying

but there are a few places that have not been touched by politics, at least for the most part anyway. The only reason im on reddit is because i managed to find one that is without any political stuff.
