Give me one minute

2020-12-30 15:49:53 UTC

okay I am willing to listen to this

2020-12-30 15:50:03 UTC

Exactly. I think people are aware that China is an economic powerhouse, but we are not incentivized to pull back. We rely on China too much

2020-12-30 15:50:37 UTC

you can blame Reagan, Bush sr and jr, Clinton, and Obama for that.

2020-12-30 15:50:55 UTC

A lot of people are complacent as well. Lots of people don't care enough to check if what they're buying is made in China for example.

2020-12-30 15:51:03 UTC

That i also agree too. China doesnt broadcast the things they are doing. It's always better to overestimate your opponent than underestimate

2020-12-30 15:51:37 UTC

<:RotatedSemiFullyAutomatic:761629946564575242> if we go to war I'm ready tho

2020-12-30 15:52:34 UTC

NGL I am not downloading shit

2020-12-30 15:52:42 UTC

I'm only a highschooler who can't drive yet so I'm not the most educated, but there are some good cards

2020-12-30 15:52:46 UTC

No downloads...

2020-12-30 15:52:52 UTC

oh sorry

2020-12-30 15:52:56 UTC

my message was too long

2020-12-30 15:53:22 UTC

my bad, won't happen again

2020-12-30 15:53:28 UTC

okay so let me explain that military might is not just measured in man power, which the USA still beats China with the worlds largest Unofficial military and the second largest official military.

2020-12-30 15:53:33 UTC

China also has a large market for rare earth metals too

2020-12-30 15:53:36 UTC

Definitely. And the cheap pricing of chinese products is working against us. I am in full support of a trade war and forcing american companies to pull back, even if it meant we have to agree to buy goods at a higher price. But for some people? Not so much

2020-12-30 15:54:01 UTC

I will debate this one with you in discord if you want 🙂 I am in general 1 🙂

2020-12-30 15:54:18 UTC

oh rich people would just price it more but they are aware that they would get less customers. poor people already don't make much money

2020-12-30 15:54:22 UTC

plus I got 30 minutes to kill before my wife and I head off

2020-12-30 15:54:37 UTC

idk when trump did a steel tarrif on china and it worked

2020-12-30 15:54:37 UTC

Is this okay to post?

2020-12-30 15:54:43 UTC

how much isn't much money?

2020-12-30 15:54:45 UTC

China is more ready than us, from my perspective. They have mandatory services, and more people to spare.

2020-12-30 15:55:03 UTC

I know that, and it isn't just measured in the number of platforms we have either

2020-12-30 15:55:07 UTC

as in steel has gone down after the tarrifs

2020-12-30 15:55:11 UTC

I think it should be good 👍

2020-12-30 15:55:13 UTC

It's only measured by results

2020-12-30 15:55:22 UTC

And the results don't prove we are superior

2020-12-30 15:56:08 UTC

It's hard to determine money since the value of a dollar varies so much, I would say under 30k but it depends on what you buy, america is really good with producing food I presume

2020-12-30 15:56:29 UTC

lmao I thought it was that feminist book for a sec

2020-12-30 15:56:49 UTC

?

2020-12-30 15:57:16 UTC

@Knotty I can pretty much never talk in vc b/c I'm supposed to be doing hw rn

2020-12-30 15:57:21 UTC

okay so if I were to live on just teh basics I could get away with spending under $7,500 a year on food, fuel, and housing.

2020-12-30 15:57:47 UTC

oh really? I don't live in america and have a limited understanding of

2020-12-30 15:57:53 UTC

economics

2020-12-30 15:58:21 UTC

<:DerpyMeow:675825290425008171>

2020-12-30 15:58:28 UTC

so if we for some reason cut chinas supply out of the blue, how much would things cost?

2020-12-30 15:58:46 UTC

more

2020-12-30 15:58:48 UTC

a lot more
