They did not have the victim mentality as they do now thanks to democrats

2021-01-01 01:03:37 UTC

sure. thanks to politicians in general, not exclusively democrats

So let me explain why I don’t agree

2021-01-01 01:03:42 UTC

i don't want more taxes to pay for someone else's public college

2021-01-01 01:03:44 UTC

I think blacks would be more motivated when they are cheerful of the civil rights movement

Not necessarily, there may be a few bad apples of Republicans but democrats want more government interference of black america which has not helped, such as welfare

2021-01-01 01:04:13 UTC

already too many people with college degrees. a bachelor's doesn't cut it in the job market anymore. you need a master's to get a well paying job.

2021-01-01 01:04:23 UTC

if you give everyone a degree it will devalue even further

2021-01-01 01:04:31 UTC

remember that republicans and democrats are the same until recently.

2021-01-01 01:04:37 UTC

Well just because they have college doesn’t mean they will use it. Like 1/2 drop out

2021-01-01 01:04:45 UTC

Free access to education doesnt = a free qualification @Nightenhelser

2021-01-01 01:05:02 UTC

Also this is really interesting but I’m gonna play uno with family. This was fun to talk about

2021-01-01 01:05:04 UTC

College is over rated

2021-01-01 01:05:13 UTC

You have to work to achieve the qualification

2021-01-01 01:05:42 UTC

why would we give it to people who won't work for it

2021-01-01 01:05:50 UTC

What?

So I don’t agree because universal healthcare is only going to increase taxes for Americans when we don’t want high taxes and not only that universal healthcare is not going to have better treatment than healthcare that you pay for because it’s going to be more common so there are going to be more people taken care of so it’s going to take a longer time for people to have appointments, procedures, etc. I have an anecdote which might not be as reliable but my English teacher served in the army for 20 years and he was qualified for free healthcare and this healthcare took him 14 months to set up an appointment so he had to go to his own doctor that he paid for it to actually do the procedureοΏΌ οΏΌ

2021-01-01 01:05:57 UTC

won't that increase the amount of money we use in taxes to pay for those people

2021-01-01 01:06:05 UTC

i'll refute on that. in vietnam we have A LOT of qualification and people with certificates, but not many succeeded. sometimes you don't have to "work" to earn the qualification. also, i'll add that in vietnam you've to pay for university/college anyway.

2021-01-01 01:06:14 UTC

it won't be "free" its getting paid somehow

2021-01-01 01:06:38 UTC

Technically it’s found a loophole or something but I get what your saying

And about free education I don’t support that either because there are scholarships there are grants there is financial aid for people who want to have a higher education but cannot afford it and there are even scholarships for minorities and women so I don’t understand why we would need it to be free when we already have those advantages right in front of us as long as we work for them

Yes it’s why I don’t agree because it will raise taxes. Canada has free healthcare but it doesn’t mean the treatment is as luxurious and beneficial as healthcare that is paid for

2021-01-01 01:07:34 UTC

oh i've heard horror stories of people waiting months for treatment and then they just come to US

2021-01-01 01:07:36 UTC

Canada’s healthcare is okay for something minor like a broken finger, for surgeries got better going to America

2021-01-01 01:07:45 UTC

yup. loophole exists in any system. but the honest assumption that for university you can "earn" your qualification is not wholeheartedly true

2021-01-01 01:07:53 UTC

@Nightenhelser I'm sure as an American you have parts of government spending you disagree with, if the money is your only problem with free access to education then simply cut the money from an area you have a fundamental reason to oppose

Also if I might ask are you an American or no?

2021-01-01 01:08:20 UTC

curious but what perspective do you have? you're not an American?

2021-01-01 01:08:21 UTC

Yea it could be useless or worse, end up with 50k in student debt

2021-01-01 01:08:29 UTC

Oh okay that’s alright. So can you explain your government and society to me? Like healthcare, taxes etc? I know virtually nothing of British government and societal structures

2021-01-01 01:09:40 UTC

can you go to Oxford for free?

2021-01-01 01:09:50 UTC

Thank you Ray πŸ‘

2021-01-01 01:09:52 UTC

I'M IN 2021 and nothing has changed

2021-01-01 01:10:07 UTC

I didn’t delete it but I was about to lol

The one thing we need to eliminate the most to help minorities is the victim mentality where they are entitled to whatever they want just because of the color of their skin and because they take up less amount than the majority of America and this will help the poverty rates, this will help the family unit, and this will help the uplifting of certain communities when we need to uplift everybody to facilitate equalityοΏΌοΏΌ
