not keen to be a bloated fat faced drunk again
you'd rather be a pale lanky <:thenk:329322130804047872> ?
I hung out with a buddy last night, and the entire time he was drinking Seven and Sevens, and it was kind of eye opening. Like "Is this how annoying *I* am when I'm drunk?"
@JHWH I won't go full Transience, don't worry
and yeah, some of my friends are borderline/full alcoholics, opened my eyes too
my uncle died last month from acute alcohol abuse too
collapsed on the way to get glasses for his whisky
Condolences
felt like the right time to hang it up when I stopped
it's alright mang
he was in and out of hospital for years from alcoholism
was kind of expected
I'm lucky in that no one else in my family is a drinker, either, so I'm not really genetically predisposed to alcoholism.
My dad never drinks, my mom has like, a glass of wine with dinner, and my brother makes moonshine but doesn't drink it himself
Tfw sober for 4 days <:smail:379313786193969152>
I mentioned both my parents, so it's somewhat relevant
Must be new record for me
Also, >Implying my big brother didn't contribuite to my genes
I am a southern boy, after all
alcoholism can impact anybody though, sadly
@Matthew the fact it didnt express in them doesnt mean you re good, you can still carry the alcoholic genes <:thenk:329322130804047872>
Punnet squares are for QUEERS
@fedora congratulations, be aware not being drunk on a booze cruise means you are a rapist .

Already exists probably. Though it'll be harder to pin down

I bet we are looking at screens for 90% of the time
🤔
something I would call an addiction
^
I bet we re breathing air at least 90% of the time
there's going to be a lot of old men looking up from their computer screens one day wondering where all the time went
something I would call an addiction
>using the computer is akin to breathing
