I find myself agreeing with a lot of sjw talking points. Specifically the idea white people made a society that only they can thrive in. Often the only disagreement is on whether egalitarianism should be a goal.

I feel like republicans have been very disingenuous when stressing how equality opportunity will create a fair society. In general I agree with the sentiment but they knowingly omitted the racial consequences of that policy because they were too afraid of the argument. Now we have a whole generation of conservatives who think equality of opportunity will close racial disparities and it's never going to happen.

It's just another thing they booted down the road for someone else to clean up: the debt of disappointment that opportunity doesn't fix heritable problems.

The problem isn’t that SJW’s and Post-modernists are wrong (quite the contrary in fact), its that the Right never got with the program and got serious about responding to them.

I’m imagining a timeline where American conservatives are versed in critical theory and double down on their structural power discrepancies and it is epic.

He's actually pretty successful, likely one of the best American presidents ever. What makes him not /ourguy/ is because he's not doing ENOUGH about demographics. Otherwise, great president. Saved the U.S. Economy, killed pointless regulations, increased deportations, has led a massive crack down on human trafficking (aka slavery), negotiated peace with North Korea, etc.

Even if Trump generally fails in his greater policy aims, he started with pure heart and accomplished 3 major things. 1. Kept Hillary fricking clinton out of the Whitehouse 2. Solidified the supreme court in our direction for the next 20-30 years 3. Taught the American people to distrust the media.

Trump was never going to be our savior.
