@Droidbot get a switch desu

2018-01-01 10:06:01 UTC

Flying from Manchester to Basel and then from Basel to London costs less than a train ticket from Manchester to London

2018-01-01 10:13:42 UTC

this <:hms:311152554618912768>

2018-01-01 10:22:24 UTC

My gf wants to stay in Manchester longer instead of going to London for the rest of the trip. But our flight is from London. Now it was cheaper to just not care and book a new flight from Manchester regardless of the one from London being non refundable, as opposed to taking the train to London in the morning of the flight

2018-01-01 10:23:19 UTC

How did those public transport prices not start a revolution yet?

2018-01-01 10:25:19 UTC

Our railways were privatised and the train operator franchises can pretty much charge whatever the fuck they want because people will stay pay for it, since they have no choice

2018-01-01 10:27:24 UTC

eh season ticket pricing is controlled by gov

2018-01-01 10:28:11 UTC

then again they just put it up by inflation

2018-01-01 10:28:55 UTC

how reliable is megabus? that would have been the alternative but almost 7 hours...

2018-01-01 10:29:07 UTC

from manchester to london?

2018-01-01 10:29:14 UTC

shouldnt be 7 hours...

2018-01-01 10:29:18 UTC

almost

2018-01-01 10:29:22 UTC

Holy shit this storm is intense

2018-01-01 10:29:22 UTC

6 hours something

2018-01-01 10:29:27 UTC

2 power outages so far

2018-01-01 10:29:34 UTC

I think one more and it won't come back on

2018-01-01 10:30:03 UTC

6 hours sounds about right from manchester to london

2018-01-01 10:33:34 UTC

I don't think you should have any problem with megabus itself but roads tend to get quite congested around london, so you might want to account for that

2018-01-01 10:36:49 UTC

I just booked a flight instead, unironically

2018-01-01 10:36:55 UTC

faster and cheaper

2018-01-01 10:36:59 UTC
