I have an hour and 45 minute drive to and from work

2018-04-09 06:35:49 UTC

So it feels like I'm at work for fucking ever

2018-04-09 06:39:23 UTC

25 min to 2 hours

2018-04-09 06:39:23 UTC

1h45? That's pretty fucky, my man.

2018-04-09 06:41:27 UTC

Traffic is hell, would prefer consistant 1.5 hours to rolling the dice

2018-04-09 06:54:21 UTC

@TCxUFATIME my new workplace is 6 minutes away from me by walk

2018-04-09 06:54:40 UTC

Or one city bus station (2 minutes)

2018-04-09 06:54:56 UTC

But the bus comes every 7 minutes, so it's sometimes not worth waiting

2018-04-09 06:55:20 UTC

I'd like to get an electric motorbike

2018-04-09 06:55:28 UTC

But the prices...

2018-04-09 06:57:16 UTC

They're like 400 bucks down in chinatown

2018-04-09 06:57:51 UTC

Tho pretty much everything is probably not street legal or remotely safe

2018-04-09 07:09:56 UTC

Something non street legal bikes do not get sold in first world

2018-04-09 07:10:57 UTC

Cheapest I can get here is 2k

2018-04-09 07:25:20 UTC

@TCxUFATIME I used to travel that much to my work too

2018-04-09 07:25:32 UTC

public transport too

2018-04-09 07:26:25 UTC

i love travelling but going back home after being really tired sucked

2018-04-09 07:28:26 UTC

Mine varies too, depending in what time I leave in the morning and finish, the drive is mostly motorways but traffic can get fucky during peak hours

2018-04-09 07:30:36 UTC

You suck

2018-04-09 07:33:38 UTC

You suck at splatoon

2018-04-09 07:33:55 UTC

7k should I?

2018-04-09 07:37:13 UTC

Elektro-roller sind die zukunft

2018-04-09 07:38:14 UTC

Probably not

2018-04-09 08:07:11 UTC

Why is there no terminal tower defense game? Am I going to have to make one on my own?

2018-04-09 08:13:52 UTC

Yes and yes please

I will make it a viral hit amongst Linux nerds. Set up a Patreon. Earn $1-2 per month. Retire. Settle down in Thailand.

2018-04-09 08:32:45 UTC

2018-04-09 09:07:15 UTC

I have 3 offers from 3 different companies to chose from right now

2018-04-09 09:08:47 UTC

oh lol

2018-04-09 09:15:05 UTC

that's not unusual for developers

2018-04-09 09:15:11 UTC

you shouldn't just take gthe first job you find

2018-04-09 09:15:21 UTC

better take something that you can imagine doing for some years

2018-04-09 09:18:01 UTC

- the gnu challenge job is a hipster startup, most people are younger than me and have a totally different point of view on tech. They love Rust, Go, JavaScript and thousands of weird frameworks. The company gives you a free Mac, a fre iPhone and a free iPad.

- the .NET job is a 4000 people company that exists since the 1970s, used to be a warehouse, and now does e-commerce. The nicest part here is that they give everything to the employees at wholesale price (without earning profit on it) and they have almost 350 000 different things in their shop.

- the other one is not development but technical consulting. It's a payment services company
