i am going to bed

2020-12-25 06:06:50 UTC

think over your view

2020-12-25 06:06:56 UTC

right now it is not very coherent to me

2020-12-25 06:07:00 UTC

Sure it did. When he thought it was immoral to steal, he didn't. When he didn't, he did

I believe it's there because it's possible to act immorally. You can act and know that you didn't apply your values to your circumstances. And you can use it to judge others. You apply your values to the circumstances and make a moral claim as to good or bad

What practical difference is there from all morals when someone can act immorally? The morality of a person is a sense of their perception of the world. It has no inherent force. If you choose to act in accordance with them there's no practical difference from when you choose to react out of accordance with them

GG @WMLC, you just advanced to level 7!

2020-12-25 06:07:18 UTC

i will leave this

2020-12-25 06:07:40 UTC

really think about if morality actually exists, or if you are saying it just an opinion from chemicals in your brain

2020-12-25 06:07:49 UTC

and ask if you think

2020-12-25 06:07:56 UTC

logic, math, etc. also exists

2020-12-25 06:08:00 UTC

The evidence is in how it made the individual perceive his circumstances

2020-12-25 06:08:01 UTC

or are just arising from chemicals

2020-12-25 06:08:14 UTC

i will be glad to talk to you later, but not tomorrow since its christmas

2020-12-25 06:08:43 UTC

Yes, emotivism v cognitivism. I already answered that. You said it was a cop out. It was honest. You also don't have an answer to it, even when you think you do

2020-12-25 06:09:12 UTC

okay

2020-12-25 06:09:14 UTC

i got to go

2020-12-25 06:09:18 UTC

last thing for real this time

2020-12-25 06:09:27 UTC

what you say, is that morality is yay/boo

2020-12-25 06:09:33 UTC

since it is based on individual

2020-12-25 06:09:37 UTC

closing discord now

2020-12-25 06:09:38 UTC

Goodnight sweetie 😘

2020-12-25 06:10:47 UTC

You call it yay/boo. That's emotivism. I know that it's a very real possibility. I choose cognitivism to give myself the agency, but I know it could just always be emotivism.

You can't escape it either. Even if you want to. You know damn well you could just be a Sack of chemicals

2020-12-25 07:35:45 UTC

<@&771015472425598985> what do you think about Trump threatening to not sign COVID-19 bill but make it bigger

2020-12-25 07:39:50 UTC

Shut the fuck up and go to sleep it’s Christmas

2020-12-25 07:39:57 UTC

That’s what I think about it

2020-12-25 14:25:32 UTC

I agree with Castiel.

2020-12-25 15:15:37 UTC

@WMLC I'm not reading through y'all's entire convo, so just answer this yes or no question: Are you an emotivist?

2020-12-25 15:16:41 UTC

Yes, everyone here is feelings before facts

2020-12-25 15:17:07 UTC

Is that not obvious

2020-12-25 15:17:46 UTC

that isn't what emotivism is, but you can always read the wiki 🙂

2020-12-25 15:18:27 UTC

Smh, it’s a joke Kali

2020-12-25 15:18:46 UTC

Read the room amirite

2020-12-25 15:18:59 UTC

🤮 don't call me that 🤮 Bla is fine 🤮

2020-12-25 15:19:13 UTC

I assumed you were a lady

2020-12-25 15:19:27 UTC

But alr blah

2020-12-25 15:28:30 UTC

It's not a yes or no answer.

We do not know. Maybe we can figure it out somehow eventually, but we do not know. Whether or not we're just chemical machines is an open question and it's a very real possibility that we are. I cannot definitively say

2020-12-25 15:33:32 UTC

so you aren't an emotivist <:emoji_19:767136851281707008> gotcha

2020-12-25 15:33:32 UTC

GG @BlaKaligula, you just advanced to level 3!

2020-12-25 15:45:07 UTC

2020-12-26 03:07:23 UTC

Same

2020-12-26 03:07:54 UTC

He muted you for a rule that’s so clearly subjective

2020-12-26 03:09:13 UTC

He literally made it after you said it💀
