<@&771015472425598985> <@&771015502902067250> is covid real and are governments doing too much or too little about it
Its real
the virus is real, but the govts are doing bad stuff
vaccination and shit like that
are govts doing too much or too little
Id say that our government is doing a very good job of handling this.
GG @Person.exe, you just advanced to level 2!
Shut up mee6
Covid is definitely real, it's a virus. However the government is abusing the situation and utilizing the fear of the people to control us. I think that at first the masks and the social distancing was necessary.... But it should have been done with by now.
I also believe they drew it out to the election to a) make trump look bad and b) be able to use it to control the people after the liberal canidate won
e.g. a mandatory mask mandate in the 1st 100 days

it’s real and we should be stricter about it and supply stimulus
or we can acknowledge that its blown out of proportion reopen our economy and not have our politicians continue to collect taxes and give it to other countries when we need it
it’s caused the death of 320,000 americans and if we did absolutely nothing it was expected to cause around 1 million deaths
it’s not blown out of proportion this is dangerous
and the people that recover have experienced long lasting chronic illness
ok tell me what is absolutely nothing, tell me how a disease which mainly only affects elderly and people with severe problems.
Ok heres a good analogy.
Every year 2.5 million people die in car crashes, yet we still use cars because its much more efficient. So we are not going to stop using cars.
Every year 320k people die from a disease so why are we forced to lock down when if we lockdown the entire economy collapse we suffer?
What doesnt make sense is we lockdown for less deaths at a greater cost than what we do with cars. Do you understand the analogy? Even then people are suffering because of this, unemployment has skyrocketed, only 600 dollars in stimulus, politicians fighting for power over this crap,
https://markets.businessinsider.com/news/stocks/yelp-business-closures-permanent-covid-report-2020-9-1029598577?op=1
"COVID-19 is continuing to cripple the economy as 60% of US businesses that have been shut since the start of the coronavirus pandemic won't ever reopen, according to the latest Economic Impact Report by Yelp."
Why lockdown the economy which will only result in more failed businesses, higher suicides, more misery. When this virus has over a 99% survival rate for people under 70. (https://www.winknews.com/2020/09/23/cdc-shows-covid-19-has-high-survival-rate-doctor-still-wants-to-see-precautions-taken/)
"A CDC update Wednesday says individuals are more likely to survive the coronavirus after contracting it. The health agency says if you have the virus between the ages of 0 to 70, you have a 99% survival rate. And if you’re over 70, the survival rate is nearly 95%."
(https://www.fpri.org/article/2020/03/the-effect-of-covid-19-on-the-u-s-economy/) "The stock market has sunk a quarter from its peak last month, wiping out three years of gains. Last week, meanwhile, brought news that a record 3.28 million Americans applied for unemployment benefits, the highest number ever recorded. Unemployment is shooting up far faster than it did during the 2008 recession, a sign the economy is headed toward recession."
"To understand COVID-19’s hit on the economy, consider its effect on different industries. Consumption makes up 70% of America’s gross domestic product (GDP), but consumption has slumped as businesses close and as households hold off on major purchases as they worry about their finances and their jobs. Investment makes up 20% of GDP, but businesses are putting off investment as they wait for clarity on the full cost of COVID-19. Arts, entertainment, recreation, and restaurants constitute 4.2% of GDP. With restaurants and movie theaters closed, this figure will now be closer to zero until the quarantines are lifted. Manufacturing makes up 11% of U.S. GDP, but much of this will be disrupted, too, because global supply chains have been obstructed by factory closures and because companies are shutting down factories in anticipation of reduced demand. Ford and GM, for example, have announced temporary closures of car factories."

"“We’re seeing, sadly, far greater suicides now than we are deaths from Covid. We’re seeing far greater deaths from drug overdose, that are above excess, than we had as background, than we are seeing deaths from Covid.”"
more people dying from lockdowns than covid
Jesus
im prepared
no its fear mongering from the media, if you understoond how many people died from car crashes, murders, risk of getting cancer, you would never walk outside again. You are an indoctrinated weasel by the media
in 2017 85,000 people died of the flu
wheres the commotion for that?
hospitals were always packed during flu season?
yet no one says anything
literally its just damn fear mongering
"HEY LETS SACRIFICE OUR ENTIRE FUCKING ECONOMY JUST SO WE CAN PROTECT PEOPLE WHO WONT BE IN THE WORK FORCE OR AT RISK HUR DUR HUR DUR HUR DUR HUR DUR"
why do you get so mad when you debate people?
im not mad kek
