as long as people have legs, a land cant be a people, conquering and traveling has happened loads of times. the original swedes looked asian. the viking image is probably more teutonic or german.

The folks that lived in sweden was a group known as the "Samerna" in a swedish. The group language came from the same language tree as the Finnish.but the Vikings that came and took over the area around Sweden were Germanic. The old Norse they spoke is where Danish swedish and Norwegian come from. I get what the add tried to say. But they didn't do a very good job. Sweden when it was founded translated to the land of the free. We do have culture. If our culture is stealing what's good from other places we have been doing that for about a thousand years. But the original sweeds your talking about are the Samerna. They arnt swedish. They have had there own beliefs and they were not fit to start a contrary any time soon. They are still raising rain deers too this day.

first half hour or so is excellent overview of the violent undercurrent of the Chinese. It is even being said again in this day in the CCP's latest banned phrase that "the Communist Party shall be destroyed by Heaven"

@Deleted User i was investigating the Saxons lately and found some itneresting stuff. The origin of the demonym Saxon comes from Saxones or Seaxan. They were called the Saxon because they would wield the seax, an old cultural artifact, a type of a knife.

@Japheth that's not where the word Saxons comes from I already knew about they're knifes btw

2020-08-07 18:21:35 UTC

yea that's where the demonym saxon come from, Seaxan, people of the seax, people that wield a seax

2020-08-07 18:21:59 UTC

and it makes a lot of sense too since that's who made the seax

also shows their Germanic racial commonality of the Britons, Germania, and Gauls/Celts, which is further attested to in the work of Julius Caesar, De Bello Gallico (The War on Gaul)
