Numbers 25

2020-09-19 00:35:29 UTC

a pertinent lesson indeed since the sin of Balaam is highly warned about in the context of the Apocalypse as one of the seven deadly heresies that will cause the great fallign away

Revelation 18:1-7
1 And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

6 Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.

7 How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

"I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan." Revelation 2:9

2020-09-25 21:01:03 UTC

who was this in reference to in your opinion?

2020-09-26 06:55:02 UTC

the church of Smyrna, those that hear what was said to the angel of Smyrna and are faithful to the death shall gain the Crown of Life

2020-09-26 07:04:41 UTC

perhaps also to your interest is the link between the message to the angel of Smyrna and its church to the message to the angel of Philadelphia and its church in the next chapter.

Revelation 3:7-13

7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;

8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.

10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.

12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

13 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

You are saying the synagogue of satan is smyrna? Or did you mean that is who the verse was directed at? Sorry I should have been more specific- who is the synagogue of satan referred to in the verse? The Pharisees I think some people say but maybe you say somebody else? I think this group of people has carried on until current day and hold a lot of power in the world.

I misread your question, I thought you were meaning who the prophecy towards, thus meaning to say the letter and verse is speaking to the angel of the church of Smyrna as listed in the verses preceding.

As for the Synagogue of Satan, again they are featured also in the church of Philadelphia's letter I'd note. It could be indeed the heretical but racial jews. At the same token i notice many anti-jew groups claim to be the real jews but they certainly racially are not nor religiously since they hate the family of Israel and the family of Judah. Perhaps it is a soup of both, whores and their lovers beating eachother to death and lying to eachother plotline that has been played again and again and again in history, To be a real jew the argument is both racial the literal seed of Judah and Israel the people, fathers of races. The other coin is the spiritual for it is the God of Judah which made him great and because he is the God, inded made all the Gentiles races too and our fathers in the flesh the good and the evil ones. By all the OT Law and the spiritual laws of God elaboated on in the NT one must be first and foremost believe and love the God of Israel. Furthermore Lord Jesus is in many infallible ways the King of the Jews so being their undeniable and still living king, he being the king can extend spiritually to the Gentiles as well as the fallen jews that turned away way long a go a way back to the salvation of God and his Kingdom, the eternal New Jerusalem which supplants the fallen creation at the finis coronat opus near the end of the most excellent book of the Apocalypse

2 kings 20:1-5
1 In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the Lord, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

2 Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the Lord, saying,

3 I beseech thee, O Lord, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

4 And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the Lord came to him, saying,

5 Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the Lord, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the Lord.

whoever has wisdom, mark out what Hezekiah did

@Shalom I suppose we could move the gnostic heresy discussion here.

2020-10-16 07:28:14 UTC

I would note the gnostics are not the first to come up wit hthe basis of their heresy, but actually much of their forbidden magical practices and even the Lucifer Heresy actually begin with the fallen jews

A Baal Shem (Hebrew: בַּעַל שֵׁם, pl. Baalei Shem) was a historical Jewish practitioner of Practical Kabbalah. Employing the names of God, angels, Satan and other spirits,

2020-10-16 07:29:54 UTC

we get a hint of this actually in the Gospel when the foolish Pharisees falsely accuse Lord Jesus of healing people by the power of Beelzebub

2020-10-16 07:33:22 UTC

Matthew 12:22-30
22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?

24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.

25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:

26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?

27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.

28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.

29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.

30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.

2020-12-09 20:30:54 UTC

hello I have a question for anybody willing to answer, i appreciate the feedback

if Jesus is not God, how can a man die for our sins?

2020-12-11 18:40:21 UTC

Jesus is God, and anyone who says he is not God is of Satan (1 John 4:3). Jesus is a man similar to us, and if you know we are spiritual beings like vessels for spirits, he was a vessel for God (God is a spirit). So the man Jesus was able to die.

Some say that Jesus the actual flesh was God too, because of John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth", but others say this may mean that the new law in Christ was established and it came into the world. So this may be talking about God spiritually rather than literally.

If anyone has any objections let me know.

Jeremiah 39:6-7
6 Then the king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes: also the king of Babylon slew all the nobles of Judah.

7 Moreover he put out Zedekiah's eyes, and bound him with chains, to carry him to Babylon.
