Probably legitimate text censored by the Church who infamously rewrote and edited the Bible several times before coming to a commonly agreed 'final' version.

It's not a Gnostic text, it's a Coptic Apocryphal text written between 60 AD and 100 AD based on Scholars speculation.

How exactly does "weird and foreign" supposed to mean anything when it's written as a Semitic text, that supposedly hasn't been edited or updated since it's original compilation?

The New Testament, primarily the Gospels of Mark, John, Luke and Matthew, were written originally in Koine Greek before being translated into Latin, an official 'canon' was created by the Chalcedonian church, though this official 'canon' continued to be changed and evolve especially with the Great Schism which resulted in the Catholic and Orthodox churches being established, a major pioneer was Irenaeus who first started distinguishing between canon and heretical texts, by saying there were four gospels and that everything else was heresy, essentially picking and choosing which he wanted himself and his followers to learn, read and worship from, he is a leading figure as well in the establishment of orthodoxy in the modern churches.

The Gospel of Thomas was excluded because it was not one of these four gospels, there is nothing to discredit it as a legitimate text in the life and sayings of Jesus Christ, except that it was chosen not to be one by the church in the early AD's, a church which was notoriously corrupt and manipulative.

Welp, anyways... The Gospel of Thomas is very short, it's basically just a collection of sayings supposedly from Jesus including some which are seen in the other four gospels. Think of it like a new testament proverbs (Sorta?)
I believe a translated version is available here, if anyone wanted to check it out.

Because it is neither proven nor can be denied, same with all the other Gospels, we can not, with certainty, know who wrote any of the Gospels or their legitimacy.

And no, the original text discovered was believed to be written somewhere between 60 AD and 140 AD and was written in Coptic Language (Egyptian). @Alita

I just realized that no one speculated on what the saying meant.

I believe the saying is meant to say that only a small number of people will actually understand and follow the true teachings of Christ, thus making only "one out of a thousand" or "two out of ten thousand" being the true followers of Jesus.

It's not that unrealistic of a number, only around 30% of the planets total population is Christian, and that in itself is divided into thousands of different denominations which interpret Christianity differently, or even come up with entirely new texts; Like the Mormons.

Every aspect of you was created and intended by God, embrace yourself, love yourself, so long as you do so without arrogance or narcissism, but in humility and reverence of Gods creation.

I got 50gb of combat footage from WW1 to modern times. DM me if you want it, I ain't posting it in a discord server just in case.
