Why do swedes do this

2018-05-21 14:52:02 UTC

my brother just moved out at 26, but straight into his own brand new apartment

2018-05-21 14:52:52 UTC

sigh living in shitty flatshares in the bad parts of town since moving out bc cant afford rent for a whole flat

2018-05-21 14:53:14 UTC

mortgage?

2018-05-21 14:53:16 UTC

or cash

2018-05-21 14:53:20 UTC

Oddly enough its about the same cost to rent a small house as it is to rent an apartment where I am, the commute isnt bad either just an extra 20 min

2018-05-21 14:54:21 UTC

@spaqin mortgage. Between me, the gf, and her parents, we put 30k down on the house and have a 30 year mortgage

2018-05-21 14:54:30 UTC

>30 year

2018-05-21 14:54:31 UTC

lmao

2018-05-21 14:54:37 UTC

i was wondering about @Julian 's bro tho

2018-05-21 14:55:35 UTC

I moved out to street,i was homeless for 3 years begging for money at Lidl,I did not drink alcohol or do any other drugs, saved up money and bought nice apartment. But the best part was converting to islam, alah showed me the way.

2018-05-21 14:55:56 UTC

not needing to pay rent probably helps

2018-05-21 14:56:31 UTC

@spaqin a bit of mortgage, dont know the exact numbers

2018-05-21 14:56:47 UTC

damn i never wanna go into debt

2018-05-21 14:56:49 UTC

but he told me he got 70% of it covered

2018-05-21 14:57:15 UTC

and couldve done it but wanted to have money to actually invest *inside* the apartment

2018-05-21 14:57:25 UTC

damn i never know what to invest in

2018-05-21 14:58:01 UTC

no I mean invest into things for the apartment

2018-05-21 14:58:20 UTC

oh

2018-05-21 14:58:24 UTC

Condo or apartment?

2018-05-21 14:58:25 UTC

flooring, furniture, etc

2018-05-21 14:58:26 UTC

should i buy shares of cdpr

2018-05-21 14:58:44 UTC

@spaqin only a very small amount of people actually pay off the entirety of a mortgage. Most keep the house until they need to upgrade, sell it at profit, pay off the loan, and use the remainder as a down payment on the new house

2018-05-21 14:58:52 UTC

@johnfrum apartment I think?

2018-05-21 14:58:56 UTC

whats the difference

2018-05-21 14:59:06 UTC

Condo you own, apartment you rent

2018-05-21 14:59:21 UTC

well he owns it but on a lease

2018-05-21 14:59:39 UTC

no rent?

2018-05-21 14:59:49 UTC

well he pays the bank

2018-05-21 14:59:50 UTC

My house has risen about 45k in value in the last 3 years just from the area and inflation

2018-05-21 15:00:08 UTC

good investment

2018-05-21 15:00:34 UTC

yeah my parents got mortgage but also pay rent to the building owner hmmmmmm

2018-05-21 15:00:40 UTC

The value determining guy (can't remember their name) hasn't even seen the upgrades INSIDE the house

2018-05-21 15:00:46 UTC
