@Maw, you just advanced to level 30!

2020-12-09 17:29:01 UTC

ya

2020-12-09 17:29:21 UTC

Well our AWS was a MK19.

2020-12-09 17:29:31 UTC

So there was no point target.

2020-12-09 17:29:33 UTC

Well there you go.

2020-12-09 17:29:51 UTC

And I could reach out to 600 meters on a good day with that even though the specs say 450z

2020-12-09 17:29:51 UTC

@{CAP}Radeon, you just advanced to level 3!

2020-12-09 17:29:56 UTC

Fancy mortar.

2020-12-09 17:30:07 UTC

40mm belt fed grenade launcher!

2020-12-09 17:30:11 UTC

😉

2020-12-09 17:30:51 UTC

Could it use high angles of attack? I'm not super versed on the ammunition nor the system.

2020-12-09 17:31:04 UTC

Or did you rather just blow through walls.

2020-12-09 17:31:42 UTC

If I needed it to come down, or I needed it to stop moving, it worked flawlessly!

2020-12-09 17:32:07 UTC

High angles of attack were limited by the gimbal but I’d say high angle not safe due to clutch arming mechanisms.

2020-12-09 17:32:23 UTC

Probably.

2020-12-09 17:33:04 UTC

But for those things we couldn’t reach, we had several other more specialized and effective tools!

2020-12-09 17:33:13 UTC

" clutch arming mechanisms." elaborate?

2020-12-09 17:33:28 UTC

AGLs are basically the new HMGs in my experience.

2020-12-09 17:33:41 UTC

I'd be surprised to see M2s still running 20 years from now.

2020-12-09 17:33:51 UTC

Already being replaced!

2020-12-09 17:34:03 UTC

GAU19

2020-12-09 17:34:38 UTC

Three barrels of freedom at the ready!

2020-12-09 17:35:03 UTC

Have they been slapped on UH60s yet?

2020-12-09 17:35:04 UTC

Triple barreled rotary 50cal chain gun.

2020-12-09 17:35:37 UTC

I believe so!

2020-12-09 17:36:48 UTC

Did you know this before your show last night?

2020-12-09 17:36:57 UTC

Didn't they originally use that on Cobras and Apaches?

2020-12-09 17:37:10 UTC

It looks familiar.

2020-12-09 17:37:11 UTC

No, cobras and apaches use a 300mm Vulcan.

2020-12-09 17:37:20 UTC

30mm*

2020-12-09 17:37:36 UTC

Lol 300mm cannon on an attack chopper???? Yes please!

2020-12-09 17:37:41 UTC

Lmao.

2020-12-09 17:37:55 UTC

I'm pretty sure that'd interfere with the flight.

2020-12-09 17:38:03 UTC

How to do a flip in a helicopter.

2020-12-09 17:38:20 UTC

I’m pretty sure that is 4 inches shy of the main deck guns on Mighty Mo!

2020-12-09 17:38:49 UTC

Not to mention I presume a lot of helicopters would just start falling apart after shooting it.

2020-12-09 17:38:59 UTC

@Maw no problem, you just have the gun counteract the rotor

2020-12-09 17:39:15 UTC

Lol use them to turn the rotor...

2020-12-09 17:39:22 UTC

The concussive force of it would likely tear the rotors.
