Probably 200-300 yds?
In regular use anyway.
They're pretty good for medium/long range fire support.
As RPGs aren't known to be very accurate over long distances.
Wait, are we talking point target or area target accuracy?
Probably point target I presume.
@Maw, you just advanced to level 30!
ya
Well our AWS was a MK19.
So there was no point target.
Well there you go.
And I could reach out to 600 meters on a good day with that even though the specs say 450z
@{CAP}Radeon, you just advanced to level 3!
Fancy mortar.
40mm belt fed grenade launcher!
😉
Could it use high angles of attack? I'm not super versed on the ammunition nor the system.
Or did you rather just blow through walls.
If I needed it to come down, or I needed it to stop moving, it worked flawlessly!
High angles of attack were limited by the gimbal but I’d say high angle not safe due to clutch arming mechanisms.
But for those things we couldn’t reach, we had several other more specialized and effective tools!
" clutch arming mechanisms." elaborate?
AGLs are basically the new HMGs in my experience.
I'd be surprised to see M2s still running 20 years from now.
Already being replaced!
GAU19
Three barrels of freedom at the ready!
Have they been slapped on UH60s yet?
Triple barreled rotary 50cal chain gun.
I believe so!
Did you know this before your show last night?
Didn't they originally use that on Cobras and Apaches?
It looks familiar.
No, cobras and apaches use a 300mm Vulcan.
30mm*
Lol 300mm cannon on an attack chopper???? Yes please!
Lmao.
I'm pretty sure that'd interfere with the flight.
