And their slogan "Build Back Better" I have seen that slogan being used by folks in a few other countries.
^ yep, UN uses it, I think some Canada MPs, and iirc New Zealand’s new president in her inaugural address. And so on. I may have heard a clip of Boris, as well.
@TheParamedicGamer "Yes we can" wasnt very specific either. đŸ˜„
@Doc fair
"make america great again" is somewhat more specific, but more so emotionally. I have seen no explanation of what this greatness entails and how it is to be achieved.
these slogans are specifically designed to be vague, so that the voter can project their own dreams and needs onto them. Like horoscopes. Commercial psychology.
@♤amanda Modern politics. It was much more specific before the dawn of focus group politics.
Ideologically oriented back then.
@Doc while the terms are vague, it's still extremely ideologically. The groupthink is huge.
well, groupthink is not ideology.
fair
The Mackrell is master of groupthink. It does not uphold ideologies.
well...probably not... đŸ˜„
fishism at most.
i mean it in the sense of if you step out side of either side's ideology you are almost ostracized. I would call my self a centrist (filthy I know) and because I disagree with the left they will label me as part of the right. and if I were to disagree with the far right, I would get labeled a commie. if i don't align I'm cast out.
I would say that is tribalism, no other ideology.
okay fair fair
@TheParamedicGamer i call that a good place to be
If you dissect the political stance of right and left alike, you find very little substance.
Most of their political identities are anti-defined. They see themselves in light of what they are not.
I appreciate maricopa attempt at transparency, but I am not sure that a person reviewing the feed could tell if a signature matched
If nothing else it provides a feeling of control and transparency.
so been Looking at MI and the difference between biden and trump is 2.7%. anyone know if that is outside their recount threshold?
I was just looking at that actually.
No hard rule, looks like he can request it but has to pay for it.
glad I'm not the only one
But there are some important deadlines for a request so we'll probably see a slew of requests today.
interesting
makes sense. I'll give that a read
Expected
what is the biggest impact of recounts in american history?
" The mean swing between the top two candidates in the 27 recounts was 282 votes, with a median of 219. The biggest swing came in Florida’s 2000 presidential election recount, when Al Gore cut 1,247 votes off George W. Bush’s lead, ultimately not enough to flip the state to his column."
that was 2016
"the average swing was 0.2 percentage points"
Yea the better strategy I think is to challenge the extended deadlines and try to nullify the votes that came in after election day (or even after election hours closed)
any idea how many votes that is?
Its not over yet. PA had 3 days NC had 9, etc.
I have a case of Carbernet riding on lawfare drawing out past 15th of january. đŸ˜›
Not in malice!
