When you look at all the people in charge and just think about this year... what the actual F is happening 🙈
Yes alot of business have close
Plus, look at the nursing home incident at the beginning of the pandemic in NYC
Business wouldn’t have to die if they got stimulus during the lockdown
But he have to manage a state with a president that is sabotaging the virus.
@Beth Sure. A society is not stronger than the psyche of the individuals which make it up. Under a certain cutoff any small strain will cause structural damage.
Businesses should be open. Not closed forever, burnt or robbed
The nursing case. He took the idea from Italy. Someone said that happened in Italy
Trump gave billions in aid to CDC and FDNA in March. He tried to get more spending passed but Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell filibustered any attempt to get more stimulus payments out.
it's been nearly 9 months and all Americans got was the CARES act which only aids huge conglomerates
That whole issue would have been mitigated if the war powers act was used to put old people in a hotel. The worst place for a recovered patient to stay is a hospital due to picking up diseases in the hospital @Adam135 it’s been framed as cummo forced old people to go to nursing homes instead of these old people had no where to go so the nursing homes had to take them back. They weren’t equipped with the ppe and needed equipment because again we were short on those things.
Hmm not bad Doc. Lots of ‘small’ strains seem to happening daily, everywhere, it’s sad
Its life
@Beth nyc isn’t burned and no one is saying keep business closed forever
The planet is only a friendly place in Disney movies.
Everyone likes to ignore that point
You have no idea how many businesses will never open again.
@Adam135 he also used most of that money for non venerable big business which is why it was blocked. They were trying to reallocated to people and small business rather than big business
but several small businesses are on the verge of bankruptcy and have either taken out lines of credit to pay their employees or outright lay them off
He gave millions... but was to late. He dismantled the pandemic team. When he got to office
Trump doesn't give money... That is the legislature.
@Beth again that is a issue that could have been mitigated with stimulus and people actually adhering to safety measures. I mean most of your box stores are doing fine. Your local bait shop or whatever is doing fine. Gyms have a harder time
I can’t deal with your ignorance
You know why it was delayed? Back in March when he was trying to pass a bill that would given 2 billion to CDC and FDNA, Pelosi instead forced through a bill on banning flavored e-cigs, pushing the other bill by about two weeks back.
@Adam135 thats the point of having comprehensive stimulus packages that lady more than one month
He had 3 years to be prepared for a pandemic. And he didnt care or his cabinet
The House passed a bill in May ahead of the CARES act ending. It was more than the Senate wanted to do, but the refused to pass their own, which would have allowed it to go to committee for a compromise.
Looks like he was trying to cover his mistakes with monet
No one expected a pandemic. No one. Anywhere, in any country
@Adam135 no the bill was blocked because a bulk of that money was going unnecessarily to non vulnerable big business
Yes other countries were prepared. South korea. Taiwan..
This was back in March, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTGBJMDcras&t=484s
Look at the UK
Obama created a department for preparing for and managing pandemics, Trump shut it down in 2018.
@Beth what ignorance, you show the problem , I point to the remedy being comprehensive stimulus
@Adam135 I’m aware of the republican talking points , I’m addressing where the money was going in trumps bill which was non vulnerable big business
He claim. The ppe was empty. He had 3 years to fill it
I'm not condoning the aid given to big businesses, quite against it, but there were very few people in either chamber that fought for more stimulus payments.
